Re: In the Kitchen with David

"If David doesn't taste, no one should taste"...that utterly makes no sense.  Losing 70 lbs is a major achievement, and he doesn't want to "fall off the wagon."  And if he allows himself to fall off the wagon, it probably wouldn't be on national TV

Quite a bit of the food sold on Q is either high carb (bagels) or  high sugar (cookies).

Re: In the Kitchen with David

@pupwhipped totally agree that he has lost his interest in most of his shows, maybe he should move on- but I don't think it is his place to preach to the audience about low carb or what ever he is doing( I actually think he got surgery to help him along) - if he is not going to taste anything with or without preaching then he shouldn't be doing any food shows- it is very uncomfortable to watch his side kick do the tasting- the other thing that stood out to me about this one show that is being referenced is that no one in the audience was wearing a mask, come on people we are still in a situation with the virus and more people then before cannot take another vaccine because they got reactions which makes for a more vulnerable population and most people are not caring about others anymore-

100% Agree. There used to be more unique items and the prices were reasonable. Now they seem repetitive. And, they show the same item for 15 minute or more segments. Also some of his schtick has gotten old and annoying.But, I can understand why many people enjoy it as background noise.

That's a great observation, and one that may be true. After all these years he is probably ready to retire and just enjoy life without having to hawk products.

@pupwhipped I agree with you.  I don't watch him all that often because I am not into cooking or kitchen stuff.  But he does seem to be really bored now.  He does not seem to have the same passion or excitement that he once had.  Maybe it is time for him to move on.

I, for one, did not enjoy watching him stuff his face and grew tired of the ridiculous happy dance years sgo.  It was like he was obligated to do that with every product.

 I to give him alot of credit for loosing the 70 lbs per his admission on the show , but what a shame he ended up eating those  pork rinds  with Carla Hall who appeared on the  show with  Rachel and Alberti  who was so enamoured .

@skatting44

He ate them because:

pork rinds are keto-friendly and used widely by people on low-carb diets

No shame to it at all because it is part of how he eats now.

Re: In the Kitchen with David

I've lost interest in ITK show including the one Mary hosts.

Then again, I've lost interest in QVC (and HSN) ...

Guess I've grown bored with the same things and most I can find in WM or elsewhere🤷‍♀️

@skatting44  I about lost my cookies when Rachel and Alberti came waltzing down the steps like they were some kind of celebrities.  They just couldn't stand still........ like Carla was supposed to fawn all over them.........NOT!  Don't know what they were doing there in the first place.
