In process/Preparing your order/Backorder....in process/preparing your order/backorder...

[ Edited ]

This has happened to me 3 times since the beginning of the year...

I purchase something and it goes from in process...to Preparing your order to backorder...and then repeats and repeats...

I bought

H436874 an AS IS ITEM....it went through the 3 stages and then I got an email from Customer Service that my item was no longer available and I could cancel it...so I did

Lo and Behold later that day I saw another one show up under as is...so I thought YAY!...and I purchased it agian.

Now, today I am back in the same loop AND AS OF WRITING THIS POST THERE IS ANOTHER ONE UP FOR SALE IN "AS IS"

What the heck is going on???

@Nataliesgramma I realize this can be frustrating, especially if you really want something and more importantly, by a specific date. What you posted is common practice with the Q, whether we like it or not, and whether we think it is right or wrong.

When I order from QVC I rarely go back and check the status, it is what it is. Maybe once a week or so, I may check on something but I pretty much let it go. Also, I've learned to never order from QVC if I need something quickly. Most of what I order is a "want" and not a "need". I've also seen where an item is as you described, processing and/or backordered, and then lo and behold it is delivered.

To avoid frustration maybe not check the status multiple times a day. It could drive you nuts.

@Nataliesgramma

Just watch they don't charge you anyway!!!

Sounds like a case of the right hand ( computer) doesn't know what the left hand (computer) was programmed to do!!!

I've returned a few things lately - both to Florence SC - where status went from delivered to processing to delivered.  Crazy.  I finally called on one.  Eventually got both refunds.

@Nataliesgramma   Let's face it , They are going downhill.  I solved all my problems here.  I don't watch or buy.  I am much happier.

Re: In process/Preparing your order/Backorder....in process/preparing your order/backorder...

This problem has also happened to me a few times.  My order will say "in process" for weeks but NOTHING ever appears in the tracking.  So it must just be sitting somewhere at QVC and being ignored and NOT processed as they claimed.  One order went from IN PROCESS to BACKORDER and then it was eventually CANCELLED by QVC and I received a letter stating the item was now unavailable.  I understand that mistakes will happen, but QVC should offer some small $ account credit as a token of goodwill for the inconvenience caused - HSN will at least apply $10 spendable cash when these types of things occur, but QVC is apparently too cheap to do likewise (even though they're sister companies).
