Regarding the Pat and Nicole hour, I thought it was Pat who was doing an awful, very jerky, not knowing what to say presentation.
After all, Pat was the host of the show.
Keep the right combo of host to vendor for both quality and informative talk. That would be helpful.

i have watched countless vendor only presentations.
there is more detailed information.
very little non product communication,
very scripted. memorized or reading prompter/note board
many love this style or claim to.
however:
i do not need spoon fed info
i do not need obvious info on basic products
i am satisfied with an over view of the item
i get my down and dirty details if needed on something by viewing the web site and the other sites that i view when searching for best price/service before buying
i like unexpected.
i like impromptu info about the item.
i like the interaction with the vendor and host
i like the interaction with the host and models
i like the imperfect

I have watched, at least partially many, vendor presentations and find that they bore me to death. They don't have the training or stage presence that the hosts have and the difference is amazing when it comes to holding the attention of an audience.

@Kachina624 - Perhaps training from Jane Treacy would help?

Beth with Susan Graver is a great example of someone that could carry a show by herself. Nicole Miller is an example of a vendor that could not carry a show by herself.
@San Antonio Gal I truly hope someone in QVC management, or a seasoned host, can tutor Nicole Miller in her presentations.
I think she's a great designer. But I saw the one show with Pat yesterday, and I have yet to know what Nicole looks like. She stood sideways looking at Pat and the clothes rack the entire hour, with her hair covering her profile. I hope she's OK. It was just oft-putting not to have the brand expert make contact with the viewer at all.
Her ombre maxi dress was beautiful!
@Caaareful Shopper. I was talking to my sister on the phone when that show was on yesterday. We wondered why she didn't want anyone to see her face. Sister went to Google and came right back and said, " she's 72 years old". We decided that may explain everything. We never got a glimpse of her face.

With Mary Beth retiring there will be only 3 other hosts that I will watch. Hardly seems worthwhile TV watching with so few hosts. I think once she leaves in March so will I. I'll check in every once in a while. It isn't like I watch a lot now. Very seldom purchase anything.
But to answer the question, I prefer 1 host and 1 vendor, with no talking over one another, no screeching and yelling.
