I watched early on this show, and holy cow, host was so hopped on caffeine and talked a mile a minute!!. But once he started tasting the fudge options,it must have increased the fast talking. I lost count on how many times I heard "Oh my word" it made my head spin.

I have noticed that David has changed as a host. He interrupts often and it is rude. While he isn't the only host who does this, his show for me has become less watchable.

By sheer habit I still click over to check out ITKWD. But unlike years ago when I would watch the entire show, I now can only stand a minute or two. The list is long of things I just don't like about David's presentation style. One thing in particular I will note is that he makes comments in a fast, low tone manner and all it sounds like is a bunch of mumbling!!!
This is not extraordinary.

I think David is bored, burned out and very unhappy. It shows in more ways than one. He's a victim of his own success.

I agree. Maybe its retirement time.

@rms1954. Any idea how old he is?
I know he's made connections in the food industry. Too bad he can5 find something else he'd enjoy doing.

@Kachina624, David is 59, turns 60 in November.
Perhaps less burned out and bored than unhappy about how the voices in his ear are telling him to act. I don't think hyper and rude is in his DNA.

@Marp. He ought to be used to the voices in his head and know they come with the territory after close to 30 years.
Since they gave up cooking on his show, he has no outlet for his cooking creativity, which is what got him into this mess. He now mostly just rotely recites colors. What grown man wouldn't be bored?

Hyper and rude is likely not in his DNA but he's certainly summoning it up from somewhere.
