@Johnnyeager  ..... Those of us that have been around awhile have seen many hosts that at certain times were a valuable asset to QVC. Before David there was ITKWB (Bob Bowersox). He had a strong following, me included. And then one day he announced he was leaving. The show then became ITKWD. Host come, host go. Most of us adjust to the change and it does not affect our buying. Eventually the novelty will wear out or someone younger and more energetic will come on and then a repeat of what happened with previous hosts will take place.

@Sheila P-Burg I used to watch old Bob!  He was not the most magnetic personality but he did COOK and talk about cooking and I'd get some ideas about it from him.  That show was to me at least interesting!

Re: ITKWD Curious Question

David has a big fan following and it appears he inspires "his tribe" to make many purchases ........  He does have a pleasant amicable personality.....BUT HIS COLOR OBSESSION AND ITEMS SOLD DRIVES ME CRAZY!!!!  He excelerates these points above and beyond any other host at QVC!!!!  I want to call in when he goes over how many sold in the show over and over and over again...and ask him....."are you bragging or complaining???"   The producers must think this sales gimmick works to get merchandise sold but all it does for me is to make me grab my remote and find something else to watch.....Woman Frustrated

And his DOWN HOME WITH DAVID SHOW....is nothing more than products that have already been shown on other shows that apparently havent sold well....

@Spurt   I think he does the color and sold as an easy time killer for himself. No having to think of something to say, just repeat the numbers in his ear. He probably kills an hour with the useless info and getting the sold out colors off the set.

I know several people who only watch or record ITKWD, simply stated they like David. Based on this, imagine there are many more out there that solely watch his show. I neither dislike or want to be President of his fan club but watch from time to time. I agree that any of the cook shows would be more attention grabbing if they actually cooked, but guess we can go to Food Network for that type information.

I used to watch David's show more often than I do now.  I do get tired of colors and quantity.  I also dislike all the facial expressions and silliness.  There are too many repeats of the same products on all his show. But, if I were to be a first time vendor...I would want to be on David's show!!!  He is pleasant, happy, hospitable and is so gracious with the product reps.

I just can't imagine Jane being a big time seller.  Who can watch all that yelling, family stories and juvenile silliness???  I never watch her shows.....

Strange that Dan Hughes does not seem to get the same love and respect that David gets.  Dan Hughes' folksy personality is very endearing to many of us. He has a self deprecating sense of humor and adores his wife.  He is very handy with cars and fixing things but has said he is clumsy in the kitchen and with fashion and decor. He has always yielded to his darling wife to handle that.  Personally Dan is the only hosr I trust.  He has not steered me wrong in the 20 years Ive watched him. Now I know David seems to get the adoration but Dan is underutilized in my opinion. I have sent several letters to Dan on Facebook to assure him that he has a following also.

I think Dan Hughes is a good host ..... he let's the vendor speak and explain all the important product info ....Some dont like his sense of humor....I dont mind it ....And of course, as an animal lover, I love it when he brings his dogs in to be "the models" for the sofa covers and pet products etc.....Dan provides a welcome change of pace....

@Reever  ..... I also enjoy watching Dan Hughes. I wish QVC would have him on more often because I rarely get to see any of his presentations. His personality and David's are completely different. He is calm, pleasant speaking and courteous.
