Retirement is the best thing I ever did!!!! coming here to read about 1/2 hour once or twice a day is enough. After being here awhile you get to know certain posters. Those are the one's I never respond to because they annoy me. There are posters I like and agree with as well. This board is for my entertainment, nothing more.
Exactly. It's not a good idea to take anything here too seriously. For one thing, threads can be poofed by the mods at any time. (Which is their right - These forums belong to QVC and no one is forcing any of us to be here.) And for another, this is not real life. It's a diversion, meant for entertainment, some good advice, a few laughs, and lively discussion.
I see posts all the time written by posters who are overly upset and tied up in knots about a reply or something another poster has said. I think stepping away from the keyboard for awhile is good advice for anyone who habitually becomes overly emotionally invested.

I used to read daily and usually post. Now it's just too hard for my brain to think about what the moderators might TAKE AWAY. So it's just not worth it very much to me.

@hyacinth003. I never think of what mods might take away. I don't really care.
I never think about it either. Mostly because it's so arbitrary. Some posts that seemed destined to be poofed right away are allowed to stay for long periods of time. And other fairly innocuous ones are shut down.
So it is what it is. I read and I post, and then I move on. What happens after that is out of my control, and I'd rather concentrate my thoughts and efforts elsewhere.

1000 percent agree with this!

This...
@SeaMaiden Comments and opinions all depends on what poster says them on here. The ones on the popular list can say anything and at times can also be rude. An unpopular poster doing the same thing gets pounced on. Plain and simple.

@NYC Susan. Exactly. We don't know if the the post was reported by another poster as inappropriate or if the mods found it. There is no way the mods can keep up with every post on these threads. They have other jobs besides this so I think they count on reporting. On the other hand, if you report too many posts, you can be in trouble! I just post and it is what it is...or isn't.

@SeaMaiden, You hit the nail on the head. The moderators definitely have their favorites, and let them post what they want. The rest of us walk on egg shells. Moderators also poof any thread that doesn't praise a certain host, then let other hosts get bashed. They should really just be honest, and post which hosts are their favorites, and because of that won't allow any negative comments.

I'm with you, @reiki604. Retirement was the best thing I ever did too. I am too busy to spend all day on these forums. Sometimes I'm busier now than when I worked 50-60 hours per week! I work 15-16 hours a week in Customer Service at a grocery store. I help take care of my elderly father and disabled sister (we lost Mom Thanksgiving week). I am involved in charity work, church ministries, and have a social life. I get to travel and spend time with grandkids. It's all good.
It sounds like stereotyping to say older people post all day. @Blingqueen023 will learn the truth when her time comes.

@CalminHeart Totally off base. If you were really that busy, I wouldn't see you here posting all day all week long, unless of course you find the time between all your busy day to day activities away from the couch to post. Not trying to be snarky, it's just my observation.

How could you see @CalminHeart "here posting all day, all week long" unless you are here all day, all week long too?
Just curious.....

@KingstonsMom. What a small mind you have. I knew this typical response was coming. I figured you'd be the first one to say it. Not surprised.
