@Big Joanie   I never shopped here because I have always thought their prices are out of hand.

@BalletBabe I'm curious why someone who never shopped here would watch QVC, let alone be so engaged on this rather obscure message board. I truly just don't get it.

@Love to Run   Who said I don't shop here?   I have been shopping here since they started.  I am just not buying if I have to pay shipping at this time.  I meant I do not shop for clothing here, but I make other purchases.   I can and have always been able to get clothing locally a lot cheaper.  I have purchased a few things over the years in clothing but very few.  I also have been on this board since my Husband passed in 2016.

For me, there is more than one of these hosts!!

I agree their prices are too high and the quality is not there.  I can buy many nice clothes from Macy's at a miuch lower price.  I can't keep up with QVC's prices orreturn costs.

Re: I think They are in Trouble

@BalletBabe

I say this with all due respect, you are just so MAD at QVC over the new customer promo, that you are just looking for reasons to shoot down the company.

You did shop here...you have written about your purchases....but since you felt so disrespected over the promo...you won't any more....but you have before.

Return credits are now a matter of a couple DAYS, they did correct the return problem.

If Amazon works better for you, that is great!  NO one should stress over shopping.

I, for one, will avoid Amz at all costs.  The company goes against everything I believe in.  I will never pay an extra fee for the privilege of shopping with anyone.

It was on the news last night, they are laying off hundreds ....Merry Christmas to those workers.

I had always enjoyed your posts, but it seems you are on one track only these days.

My best to you....

@Desert Lily   If shipping and returns don't get better that in itself will kill them.  I think many would miss the TV presentations but your right it would be more cost effective.  I just think for someone like me that works 50 hours a week it is just so much quicker to order from Amazon and have it in a day or two.  You can't beat their return policy either.

People complain about the yearly fee,but I love the music, and the free tv shows and the games on Thursday night and their CS can't be beat.

I also bought some beautiful clothing from them.  It would have cost me triple to purchase that stuff here.  You can even try on a lot of clothes without paying until you tell them you are keeping the items.  Going to be hard to compete with that.

@BalletBabe, I agree. I placed an order for 3 items last night on Amazon. It was on my porch at 6:30 this morning.

Qurate sold a building in 2021( I think it was the Founders building) and they moved everything into the Studio park building. It did not seem to help.

LOGO fashions run toward the hippie type clothing. It's very pricy for the quality.

Re: I think They are in Trouble

[ Edited ]

For years, QVC has been getting the same feedback about virtually every aspect of their operation from pricing to shipping to incentives, to variety, to quality and so on and they've been hearing it from a significant cadre of viewers, most of whom are or were also customers. They have systematically ignored it. Instead, they stuck to a 90's era reinvention of themselves that saw narrow branding, redundant and lengthy presentations of virtually the same handful of brands and items. They created a hosting style that was and is frantic and increasingly appears to be somewhat desperate. They tout themselves as being both a retail and an entertainment entity, but their programming has become largely unwatchable. They have stuck with leadership that has largely appeared, in recent years anyway, to be only marginally effective, if that. Other than during the height of the pandemic, their quarterly financial statements have hardly been anything to crow about for a number of years. I have no idea of whether or not they are 'in trouble' but if they are, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.
