I really get tired of hearing I own this or I am ordering this. I think the show host's should have pictures on their facebook page of them wearing or using everything they say they own, for instance, yesterday Susan Lucci was on with Sandra selling her pilates chair. Sandra said several times that she piced one up last night then she picked one up in the blue then she would use it on her deck then she would put it in her bedroom next to her bed. Show pictures of these things so we know you are not lying to us.
Callie on HSN once said she owned the Origami folding shelves and kept hers in her dining room, yeah like we all believe that big old metal shelf is in her dining room, anyway I asked her several times on her facebook page to please show a picture of the shelves in her dining room so we could all see what it looked like....Well glory be, guess what, never a picture posted.
Come on show host's back up your claims with pictures using or wearing all of the items you own.

You are paying WAY too much attention to what they say. Plus, what does it matter?

Doesn't matter to me if a host says they own everything they sell as long as they are able to give details about it.

I have to say your topic made me chuckle...it is tiresome to hear those claims....knowing full well its just a sales tactic...did you notice you never hear the male hosts saying they own any of the manly items...(or at least i never heard any of them)..

Dan Hughes quite frequiently will say he "tested" the product at home and/or say he was given a product to "test" during his presentations.
David the food guy, will say he "tested" something. Sometimes will admit that he as an "older" version but it is rare.
I agree it is a sales tactic.
The hosts & hostesses who have "tested" the products they are presenting never say ON AIR that they didn't like the product they "tested" and/or it didn't work for me but it may work for you! LOL

You know what, you are right! It seems to be the ladies that own everything. Glad I could make you smile! Have a GREAT day!

Well, if they will lie about "owning" everything does it not mean that maybe just maybe they would lie to us about the product and how it works or how much they love it.
A little truth never hurt anyone.

It is all an act. People fall for it. If a host says they own it, people believe it and buy it. I don't believe they own anything. You will never see a host wearing anything from the channel they are on. The real reason to buy anything is because you like it and want it--not because a host is lying about owning.

Hostess Albany tickles me. Her & her daughters owns everything she hawks. She must have a huge abode or rents several extra large storage units.
There was a picture of her injured leg posted in a thread. When I saw it I was wondering if the bed was a QVC Serta, pillow the leg was resting on from that QVC pillow guy who hugs his pillows( his name escapes me), the bed coverings from QVC, the comp she was on from QVC as well as that big screen TV from QVC?

If I buy something it is because I like it. Whether or not the host likes it, has it or doesn't have it, doesn't matter to me in the least. Why on earth would I care? I am not swayed by what a stranger likes or has purchased.
