Today I received my last clothing item from the Q. I have been watching the Q since it was CVN and shopping since around 1991. It has gone from being fun to a very bad habit and I am so glad I found the will power to quit. I still might buy a beauty item or two as the Q is a great way to try new rather expensive things but I have paid my last $10 shipping fee for ill fitting or cheap clothes. I love Louis D O and will miss buying his line but I have way too many things now. Since online shopping has taken the country by storm I don't know if I am ahead of the curve or finally getting wise but it feels really good.

The biggest pet peeve among customers always seems to be the differences in sizing in fashion items. I often wonder why QVC allows so many variations under one size. For example, I usually buy an XL in tops which was usually 49", yet now an XL can be anything a vendor wants it to be, from small and tight to too wide. Yes, I know, we can go by the Click Here sizing (and I always check it out), but if the Click Here tells me that the XL is only 43" and the 2X is 49" (depending on the vendor), I just don't trust it and don't buy it. If QVC took responsibility for this variation in sizing, customers would feel happier about what they were buying and, in my opinion, there would be far less returns.

Years ago QVC required that clothing vendors make their clothing to fit a standard QVC size chart that went across all vendor lines. That has gone by the wayside and now they can make their items in any measurements they want. Makes getting the correct size a real nightmare and don't even get me started on those click here measurements. Different fitting garments need different allowances in how much room you need in a item. Recently I had to return and re order a sweater in one of QVC's "designer" lines not once but twice to get a correctly fit. Under normal circumstances I would never have even reordered the item but the color was a perfect match to a skirt I owned from Talbot's and I have been looking for a sweater to match for some time now. I started with a 1x which is my normal size for this designer. It was fine in the bust but huge across the sweep. sent it back and re-ordered the XL. Still too big in the bottom. Finally got it in the large which fits. A totally frustrating experience . It was the first clothing item I have ordered from QVC in months and I am promising myself it will be the last. Between not getting my original shipping back and paying to ship 2 sweaters back my original $70.00 cost ended up costing me over $90.00. This is not a experience I will be repeating. I will be sticking to B&M stores where I can try on or to ordering from Talbot's where the clothes are sized consistently.

@petunia ... You and I both... I've been there from the beginning. I COMPLETELY agree, except for the Linea line by Louis Dell Olio. Most of that line is still beautifully styled and finished. The quality is there, in most cases..... less now than years ago, but thankfully I can still get some exceptional items.
For the balance... the station has gone into the toilet. Sady, there is no QC, standards, or consistency. The offerings have become dull and they have way too many house brands. I watch and purchase a tiny tiny fraction of what I used to. Everytime there is a management change, the station takes a different turn... the last few turns are not in the direction I care to go!!!!!

I agree with others who have responded that QVC has changed and not in a positive direction. Prices are high; quality is low, and convenience is getting a product a week after ordering, not. I still order some but spend more time looking for better options elsewhere. The corporation seems to be floundering with its programming. Maybe it is just a continued sign of a slow-to-recover weak economy. They seem to be reacting to something of that nature. Maybe if I needed (wanted) 30 colors of side pocket pants, I would feel differently.

I also notice Louis talks about his collection and there's not much nonsense that goes on on his shows. He's great for fit, fabric and important information. Too bad more vendors are not like him. He keeps the host "focused."
