I learned something new today on a new policy

I tape the shows I want to watch later. There was a one time only on Leah's show today from Denim & Co. I called and asked about the price. I was told with their new policy is you are out of luck when the show ends on the one time only. No adjustment.

My other thought there was a lunchtime special yesterday for some resin bowl fillers for $7.99 , which was a good price. But the shipping was 5.50. Then it wasn't a great deal.

I've been shopping for over 30 years and I will continue to shop but I'll be a lot more selective on what I purchase.

There was a lunchtime special the other day for a really cute hat for $10.99, I believe was the price. When I went to check out, the shipping was $7.50. I decided it was not such a good deal after all and did not buy it.

This has happened with me with a pair of Miz Mooz shoes. They are always free shipping. They had a great price on a pair and the shipping was $12. I did a chat with cs to see if that was right and she said that it was. They get you one way or another.

@Loves Cats 80 - There have been a few changes to QVC's price matching policy lately, but it has always been the case that a One Time Only price is valid only during the show in which the offer airs (hence the name). That is one pricing area where they've remained very consistently strict.

@Loves Cats 80 - I have been watching the Q for years and the policy re One Time Only pricing has always been for that one show only that the product is aired.

That's so true especially regarding shoes! I've been noticing this more and more, even with brands like Vionic which boasts "Always Ships for Free". NOT so anymore! It's stopped me from purchasing on a few occasions.😔

Sometimes free shipping costs you more ... in sales tax.

Example: Two exact same items, priced two ways.

1- $20, free shipping

2- $12, $8 shipping

With item #1 you're paying tax on $20.

With item #2 you're paying tax on $12.

Of course there are variables, but I've found that the total price for both the item & whatever the shipping is can be the better way to evaluate pricing.

I thought that was always the policy. I am of the opinion they shouldn't re-air shows containing a(n) OTO item, or expiring Sale priced items. If they do, they need to edit their graphics. I believe they have a disclaimer in the beginning of the show stating it's a recorded show and some pricing may not be accurate, but that doesn't help anyone who tunes in in the middle of a show.

@Loves Cats 80 One time only's have always been just that, the sale price for one time only, that would be the hour the item is on the show. It has been that way for years.

@Tinkrbl44 I believe tax varies by states. Here in California we are required to pay tax on shipping. I am very much opposed to this but unfortunately, this is the law and we have to.
