I am lucky enough to live close to the Lancaster Outlet store, and can tell you that there are a lot of returns because the actual size of a garment does not match the size described. I've seen the same garment in several colors all marked the same size that are noticibly different sizes just from holding them next to each other. Some brands worse than others. Also, sometimes a garment may "fit" you but be a cut or style that just doesn't match your body type, and it can be difficult to tell that if the garment is demonstrated on models who don't look like you.
QVC is by no means the only retailer where this is a problem. I've purchased, for example, a pair of pants at Kohl's where I try it on in black, get the same size in brown and blue, get them home and one of the ones I didn't take the time to try on doesn't fit. Same style, same size, same brand, not the same size.
So, Kachina624, I'm glad that you have not had any sizing problems, but yours is not the only experience.
