I don't mean to complain BUT...

I'm SO sick of hearing about ALL the things the hosts are doing in their personal lives and thier children and their pets, etc  I have children, pets, and a personal life put me on TV and pay me and I'll tell you all about it and maybe show 6 things in an hour.  . AT the expense of the show and what is being sold.  I've said it before on this blog that there are just are few hosts who will tell you what length petite, regular, and tall are, this should be a MUST!  Not all of us have time to run to our comptuers or get to our phones, etc. to look this up while watching on our tv's OR said devices!  I'm TIRED of it, why sell a product when we have to hear all about the host.  Let the host tell all about themselves and their lives on FACEBOOK or some other medium NOT on a show where the object is to show and sell an item.    For example' and what started my temp boiling again;  Jayne Brown on D&Co on Tuesday;  Oh I just got tickets to Wicked in Philly, I've seen it many times before on Broadway and in Philly.   I hope to get tickets to The Rockettes too.  Let me shout out to my daughter a happy birthday and it was my other daughters birthday last week.  You can go to QVC.com and check out sizes and availiabilty.  EXCUSE me Ms. Brown I'm here to WATCH and listen to descriptions of the products and sizes, colors, etc. I really am NOT vested nor should I be in your personal life.  I'm watching QVC WHY DO I NEED TO LOOK UP THINGS OR GO TO A DIFFERENT DEVICE??????  Isn't it your JOB to promote products and give us information on said products?!  Perhaps QVC could save TONS of money and pass it on to US by just showing the product and having a voice over sine we can't seem to watch a show without all the personal stuff?!  Then maybe we wouldn't have to pay so much for shipping, returns and have to wait FOREVER to get a credit back on something.  Put these people to work expediting our returns rather then have us wait 4 to 6 weeks why you have OUR money.  Just an idea, more customer service less here's my life isn't it grand.

@Hobbypup1  Couldn't agree more and one of the many reasons I no longer watch.  QVC has morphed into an "entertainment/talk show" a long way from a shopping channel.  I check recently on air and if there's an item of interest, I'll check the video and read the description.  IMO, QVC and the other "shopping" channels should just become online retailers.  Alternatively, use AI for the item descriptions.  No need for the expensive sets/hosts, etc., etc.

Re: I don't mean to complain BUT...

I am thinking we are being referred to app or web page for important information in an effort to get customer base in the habit of doing so.  Looking ahead, when TV presentations become history, the customer base will be ready to transition to these forums exclusively.

I totally agree that hosts should take a good portion of their time letting viewers have important information such as length, etc.  When this info has been shared then a personal touch can be given to presentations.  The "personal touch" should never be the focus of an item presentation.

My beef is that they don’t tell the price of something. It’s always “you can get it home for just $19!”. Then I look at the screen and it’s five payments of $19. Ugh. Yesterday was a disaster trying to order anything with their “maintenance”.

@Hobbypup1    Listening is its own special skill.  Mine lets me not even hear the banter thst disturbs you and zero in for what I want to know.

I almost always know as soon as I see any garment whether I might buy it.  I know I stop listening as soon as that happens.

Just like I walk away from my TV during commercials elsewhere, I turn away from QVC when I know no color, no detail, etc. is going to pull me in.  And when I know a whole show is highly a never buy, I save electricity!

You should also know - I bored with these repeated long rants and no, I didn't bother to read that huge paragraph.  I think they are use and actually a tad rude.

@millieshops @Hobbypup1 @lcubedsudbury @FLtricia @kaydee50

Have you noticed? For awhile now, it seems nearly every website I visit prefers to YANK me over to what they WANT to sell me and that's not what I went there looking for!

Also I have noticed the old philosophy of "the customer is always right" doesn't seem to apply?

Beginning quite a few years ago (mid-fifties) my hearing became sensitive (overly) to sound. So, I nearly always have the tv sound muted these days.

Jayne generally does provide good product details. I think by making us feel a part of their lives, they think we may buy more.
