I KNOW WHY MY QVC PACKAGE IS TAKING SO LONG

I ordered from 3 vendors on Cyber Monday.  QVC, Hollister, and Target.  Both Target and Hollister packages arrived within 2 days.  And, of course, still waiting for QVC package to come.  Went on line and checked the tracking.  It shipped from Suffolk VA to Horshaw PA and then, get this, Potland OR then back to PA and after that has gone to two different NJ post offices (the 2 NJ post offices are within 30 minutes of each other).  No wonder shipping takes so long.  Makes absolutely no sense.

@ScrapHappy.  I hope you aren't inferring QVC sent your package on the circuitous route?

Re: I KNOW WHY MY QVC PACKAGE IS TAKING SO LONG

There have been so may threads lately regarding the shipping woes of QVC and HSN, but when I read this one, all I could say is, "WOW"!!! While I understand the increased shipping demand placed on an overburdened delivery system, this leaves me scratching my head. I hope you receive your package very soon. I think we should exercise a little patience though, as I think they are doing the best they can, in what has become a nightmare for them as well.

I've had a few boxes take adventurous routes like this, too.

I have two puzzling ones right now.  Initially, the first was supposed to be delivered by UPS/USPS.  UPS said it was going to be in my area and will deliver a day early.

Then I received a strange message.  "Due to operating conditions, your package may be delayed.  Delivery will be rescheduled."

A day later on the 7th...Destination scan same city, East Petersburg, PA, where it's been sitting for 4 days.

Partial UPS Tracking: Origin Wisconsin Dec 3.

The second package has been sitting at my local post office since November 30.  Called QVC.  Sending replacement.

Re: I KNOW WHY MY QVC PACKAGE IS TAKING SO LONG

I have one item that has been "in process" for a week. The items I ordered the very next day have already shipped.  Doesn't make sense. I hope I receive everything else before Christmas.

I have a package that has been In Process for 2 weeks tomorrow.  QVC is going to lose business as well as money if they continue with this slow shipping etc. I have a couple of vendors that I like from QVC Linea by Louis Dell Olio, GILI, Judith Ripka and Dr. Denese.

That's insane!  Is it the post office or UPS taking your package on a tour of the country?

Recently read, predictions are 30% increase in online deliveries this year.

I think shippers are overwhelmed, working overtime, shortage of available temporary workers and drivers to handle the increase.  This is bound to cause errors.

Probably, if I went driving around, all I might see are UPS, USPS, FedEx, and Amazon trucks on the roads going every which way.  They might even be lost.

@ScrapHappy

I agree!!  It's like reading a travelogue when following your package's trip!!  I had one go to California the other day.  Both the shipper and I live here on the East Coast!!!

Re: I KNOW WHY MY QVC PACKAGE IS TAKING SO LONG

For this reason I stopped ordering for Christmas at Thanksgiving. I have ordered a couple of things for myself and don't care if they make it by Xmas. I've gotten most of my gifts at Costco & Amazon. The only things that I got as Xmas gifts from the Q were the Bolt car starters and Halo cell phone chargers. I got them early and they're already here. I'm done for the year. And, I'm getting to the point of being done with the Q.  It takes too much time & energy to babysit my orders.

I love the boards and will continue to post but shopping will be very limited.
