I have been loyal to this company that has given me the worst CS imaginable.  Over the years I have gotten wrong items, used and dirty ones, one empty box that should have had a claddah sterling ring, damaged bed frame, etc.  I have finally had enough after the vacume nightmare so when/if the refund ever shows I will close my account and fall in love with another on-line company.

I will miss Susan Graver most as my nicest clother are from her.

Happy shopping and posting to all.  This is the only place I have ever read or written on.   I do enjoy reading here.

I think this is a learning lesson for everyone. Buy what you can physically... especially large items like beds, vaccums, computers....  take a risk being very unhappy with your purchase and order online with QVC and other shopping networks.  I buy small items... and so far have not been unhappy thus far. But I will never purchase large expensive items.

I agree.  I think I bought one big item from QVC, but prefer buying small items that I can easily send back.  That being said,  QVC is NOT the same company of years gone by.  Yes, the hosts and quality of the items were so much better.  It must be hard for the veteran hosts to keep selling junk.  Q used to stand for quality.  Not so much anymore.  My neighbor, who used to make fun of me for shopping on tv, is now the QVC expert and loves what she receives.  I told her the jewelry and clothes used to be so much better, as were the hosts.  My mom is still a huge Susan Graver fan and has no shopping in her tiny town, so she has to shop on tv or catalogue.  I still shop here for her birthday and Christmas.  I don't think we will ever see "the good old days" come back on QVC.

I try to buy just small items from Q too.I make my large purchases from Costco or places like that with the easiest return policies.I find it difficult to be sure about things that I haven't seen or tried.I used to buy a lot more from Q but when I started finding myself not happy with my purchases,I felt it was best to change my shopping habits.

Regarding QVC's CS, I've had excellent CS and horrible CS.  When I called and got a bad CS rep who was unwilling to help me, I'd hang up and call back.  Usually the next CS rep was very helpful.  So it usually depends on who you talk to in the CS dept.

But I would never ever order any large item from QVC.  Did it once about 12 years ago and never again.

I just want to draw a distinction between customer service and positive order fulfillment. The folks I call to resolve an issue continue, overall and with a few excpetions, to be positive and helpful. They have no control over product quality nor on how buying, warehousing and shipping processes result in orders being accurately fulfilled with solid merchandise. I still think QVC offers good customers service, but I think quality control has been been deteriorating for quite some time, as has the overall mix of products sold.

Just because the OP can't control his or her spending and "over the years" has received items that aren't up to what he/she considers good service doesn't mean a company is bad.  Why continue to shop where you are so unhappy 'over the years'?

What it means is there are people who can't control their spending habits.  I find it (I'll use the word interesting) that everyone posting finds it necessary to declare what they do and don't buy on this forum (a forum initially for and about people who, for the most part buy from the mentioned shopping channel).

I think everyone is happy for those who control their spending and 'only buy what they need', I wish I could always be like that, but I'm a realist and I know I buy things I don't always need or would be considered by some as unnecessary.

Here's what I hope.  I hope people who overspend take responsibility for their overspending and pay their bills.  I hope people who don't overspend realize they are wonderful (no problem there).  I hope the snow stops where I live.....(Can anyone do anything about that?)

I just re-read the OP's post for the 3rd time (I'm slow).  I have to apologize to the OP because at no time did he/she say she/he overspent.

I based much of my response on my misunderstanding.  For that, I apologize.

I do get tired of everyone jumping on the bandwagon stating what good 'buyers' they are for NOT overspending and bloviating about it.  I've been known (probably) to do that at times.....please allow me to apologize because I'm sure I'll eventually do it again.

I don't see where the OP mentioned she was over spending and couldn't pay her bill, she was commenting on the quality of the products she received and the lousy CS over the years. Not everything the Q sells is what they say it is and it doesn't help that the hosts deceive as one of their selling tactics. If the Q cannot deliver what they promise on large items they shouldn't offer them.

In almost 30 years of shopping and literally hundreds of orders,  I've never had any of the things happen that the OP mentions.   She certainly had a run of bad luck.
