When what a company is doing currently isnt working and sales/revenues are declining that means that cant continue the status quo and changes need to be made. They recently sent out a survey for a reason---and quite a few questions having to do with programming and "entertainment shows" and shows in general. they asked if we are we getting enough product info in the shows---and they gave additional room to comment about shows/programming and hosts....somethings up!!!

of course.....improvements and growth keep companies fresh and vital.

making the company focus on one customer profile is not improving nor will it grow.

I understand and agree.  We want to keep the channel going because there are good buys.  While I may change the channel when I don't want to watch some hosts, I still buy on the site.  Have a good evening!!!!!!

You won't find this type of behavior on HSN @MarkeieMark .

Its not what one person wants --- the same comments and feedback keep coming up over and over again and again from many customers!

Why did they bother to send out a survey and a lot of it having to do with programming/shows/and presentations.....in particular "entertainment presentations" and they asked are we getting enough product information in the shows.....

@Spurt  My comments and threads seem to vanish and that makes me angry.  If they want to delete comments please send a copy to the CEO first.  He needs to know about the complaints.

I feel the same way there are a few unique vendors that I like to buy from here at QVC. And I do appreciate the live demos of the products...  Have a good day!

HSN has a show every weekday at 8:00am (EST) called HSN Today with Ty & Tina.  The show starts HSN's LIVE programming.  The hosts complement each other wonderfully; they're interesting, fun, and most importantly.... they seem to respect that the viewer is watching to shop.  In my opinion.

They present the items without degenerating the show into silly stories over & over & over, or feel the need to laugh hysterically at private jokes, or other antics that go off the rails.  It's a show co-hosted with high energy & humor, and somehow still remains all about the products.

Conversely, QVC is really owning and emphasizing all of the embarrassing parody skits & shows about its own channel.

Re: I Don't Believe this Programming

When one of the co-hosts on a QVC show needs to remind viewers constantly that they love and are best friends forever with their co-hosts incessantly, it loses all credibility for me.  I can only question the veracity of the relationship because they are trying too hard to convince me.

Ty & Tina is much easier to accept.

If I'm wrong, correct me, but I think the OP is talking about the shoe shopping show last night (Tue).  I was channel surfing and ran across the two hosts and heard one say that it was the "caftans on the couch show".  Oh brother.........I kept surfing!!!  Didn't want to hear/see anymore!

I found the beginning of the girls night in show entertaining.  They were laughing so hard that they couldn't talk.  I don't think it was planned.  I do wonder how the vendor felt about the "you can't go in these" comment, but I liked watching.

I actually bought a pair of shoes from them in shoe shopping and I think their chummy "sell the lifestyle not the product" strategy partially worked on me.  They wore the caftans all the way through that show.  But it worked, they are pretty close to sold out on those caftans.   I  would never wear a caftan, but I was looking at them and considering . .  great brand, and they were selling the experience.  How many of us don't want more downtime and time to casually hang out with loved ones?  Many successful companies sell the intangibles and not the actual product.

I think this was a joke show and they're filming an episode for the TV satire series.  It's the only possible explanation.

Stopped by--show reminded me of the silliness of "Laugh-in"...enough was more than enough...turned it off after the underwear laughing that was way out of control!
