I'm kinda obsessed with how many items are sold. From a business standpoint, I can't help but want to know that.

Other sites do show a small revolving count in the bottom of the screen. I wish they would give us all of the needed information so I can make a purchase before they break in with all of their extra sales hype. The hype and idle chit chat causes me to change the channel. Just like car salesmen. When I see them coming I tell them I am just looking and will come get them if I want help. If they persist I leave. I do my own research and don't want to listen to their pitch. Women are not dumb or stupid and I won't be treated that way. I just had a dealership do warranty work and then tell me for $300 I needed rear brakes. Excuse me 3 weeks ago you did the yearly inspection and said my car was in good shape. I was visiting out of state this week and went to a favorite garage to purchase new tires for winter. I asked them to also check my brakes and replace if needed. HMM. My brakes are in great shape. Thanks for listening. I feel better. ;-)

There is no doubt that they consider announcing the number sold to be a good selling point, if the number is high.
I actually know people who do shop that way. They have said that it must be good because X thousand have sold so I bought it.
I even had a friend tell me she bought a perfume from a store and knew it was good because it was the last bottle left. LOL I was thinking what if they only got 1 bottle in?

I agree!!! I have noticed a couple of hosts that repeat the # of how many left or how many sold, so many times, it is annoying. I think it was David V. who repeated it 3-4 times within maybe 1-2 minutes. I turned the channel!! Too annoying when that's they are concerned with. I want to hear details, NOT numbers!
