I was on the computer last night and went to a bunch of different websites, (ordering b day stuff) all of them had free shipping over 50 dollars or 100. I also had coupons earned. These are quality websites, how do they do it and why can't QVC?

They don't have to pay for a TV studio, multiple hosts for each program and location shooting.

And maintain a humongous warehouse filled with stuff years old.

@kaydee50 LOL have to agree! @froggy pointed out some issues I had not thought about.

Just received a catalog from LLBean with 20% off and free ship over $50. Have to admit seriously looking at a few things.

@Kindaglitzy  Yes, we've seen a few items in that LLB catalog that we're thinking of ordering.  Excellent quality and it's easy to spend $50.

All good points and all reasons why some posters say that Q’s sales are down. I’d much prefer a discount coupon, % off and free shipping than 4 easy pays.

I have to put on blinders when I go into my local LL Bean store.

I think another reason sales are down is their pricing, some things are a good buy if you are a comparison shopper,  but many items are so overpriced like food items it is almost embarrassing for them. It seems they have a set price like 59.00 for a lot of items. As long as people will pay inflated prices they will continue to have them and I think contributes to sales going down a lot of customers just won't pay them.

QVC's sales are definitely down.  Just look at all the incentives they are giving to "new" customers.  Last night David was saying new customers get $10. off their first purchase of $25. or more.  (this wasn't even with a Q card)   Sure wish us "old timers" could get a coupon code discount, free shipping  or something once in a while.  I see the Lock N Lock TSV is still available at the same price and seems all (or almost all) of the colors are still available.

QVC has a lot of overhead.  But they also are not very good at moving old merchandise with a good clearance sale.  Their sale prices are low enough.  I've been watching 2 sweaters in their inventory for at least a year and a half.  Still at full price.  And they haven't been on air.  The matching cardigans sold out long ago - on clearance.
