I do agree both sides are redundant, but if it's on the negative side, why bother watching or even continuing to complain?   Q isn't going to change their game plan, because of a few (in comparison to their customers)

Actually, I've pretty much given up watching altogether. QVC used to be a staple on my television, but as it is now, it's an increasing rarity that it's on, even as the oft mentioned 'background noise'...  As for why complain... Well, as they say, hope springs eternal. Besides, I guess some of us thought we'd give them something they clearly understand... repetition.

That's the most confusing part of all.  Why complain about something you don't even watch?

Well so far in all the years I've been posting here, I haven't seen that happen.

Simply because Ithere are a number of us who used to watch often and who would like to enjoy watching it again... I guess I don't see anything confusing about that... We didn't change, they did, as is their right, just as it's ours to express to them that we don't think the changes have been for the better...

@Sue in cincinnati great points but I don't think the QVC is interested in listening to its customers.

I'll expect a post telling me that there are only a "few" people complaining about it and if I don't like it I can stop shopping with QVC now.

LOL, and why should you hear anything else?

They sell 1000's of almost everything they present, they must be doing something right.

Who knows how many people do or don't like it.  This board doesn't really count as it's a lot of the same people complaining over and over about the same things.

Anyone who's ever run a business knows that there's a lot of great ideas out there, but implementing them is a whole different story.  All these changes, it's delusional to think you could just make it happen like that.  Who knows if Q wants them in the first place.

There's a lot of things I think could change, but I have no knowledge of how things are working for them.  I don't have a business degree and I'll wager that most of the people complaining haven't either.

LOL, the smartest thing they could do is remove this board.

@debic

I was a consultant for a large retailer and one thing we learned early on is that its not about the volume of sales, but about "sales that wear well." In other words, it's not difficult for a good sales person to get someone to make a purchase; the real issues are (1) whether or not they keep the item and (2) whether they are happy enough with the item to tell their friends about it.

QVC has a huge problem with returns (it's a 100 million++ dollar drag on their net) and with word of mouth. If you look at another retailer--I'll use Target as an example--the customers like the experience and the products so much that there are more than 2K Instagram boards devoted just to sharing what customers bought at that store. QVC has none. Zero. Same goes for Pinterest. Just look at how Target is upping its game for holiday.

To say that they must be doing something right because they show large numbers in gross sales is misleading.

I don't think so at all.  Returns are a big problem for everyone.   I'm sure everyone in the world should own a vitamix by now, they still sell 1000's when they are on.  Sorry they would pull it if it wasn't making them money.

They also remove 'customers' who abuse the return system.

LOL, I know 0 people who care what's posted on instagram, twitter, facebook, or even Pintrest.   If I'm shopping I go to the site I'm looking for the product.

@debic  Well, you're not the next generation of customer whose interest they need to capture, are you? Just because you're not in the age group that's the target of the future of retail marketing doesn't make my point any less valid. All retailers use social media metrics as a key component of marketing decisions and as part of how they measure KPIs and ROIs. The fact that you aren't aware of this or choose not to be part of it, doesn't make it less valid.

I feel they do not meet all demographics and age groups. For example, very little for Tweens, Teens and College aged.....very little for men other than tools.....almost nothing for babies. I like QVC for many things but not all....someone mentioned it was a catalog of the airways.....a catalog offers more variety than they offer....IMO. I would like to see maybe one day a month they would offer only new products and vendors to see if they can find new interests on products and vendors to keep the programming fresh. I have bought less this year than last because it can be redundant.

I would go back in time about fifteen years and do everything the same way the company did things back then. Great prices, great quality, great service, great selection, never boring programming, friendly atmosphere on air.

I agree.  The shipping prices keep me from purchasing many items.  I also get tired of one-hour shows for products that most people don't buy often for example, Serta, Lazy-Boy, Dyson, My Pillow.  I am not suggesting those items are not great but who really wants to watch a full one hour show about those items?  I buy a new mattress once every 7 - 10 years...I am not going to watch a one-hour program about a mattress.  I enjoy shows where I get to see new items at reasonable prices.

Implement the use of tranquilizer darts for unruly vendors and shrieking hosts. At the first sign of "I LOVELOVELOVE it!!!!" *whoosh-thup* That vendor would become calm and professional, or better yet, unconscious.

I'd bring back the ruler. Why did it ever go away?

I'd pencil in Alberti Popaj for more hosting hours. Maybe 24.

Bring back Birkenstock.

I'd change back the TSV theme to the UBER dramatic music that used to announce it. Or something equally bombastic by John Williams. Something that puts hair on our ear chests.

I'd bring back those goofy fabric swatches they'd use during jewelry shows. They made me laugh.

Eliminate the tie-ins w/ current movies. If I want to see the film I will. Do not need the Q to p*mp it.
