Re: How Can Jane T Own So Many Shoes?

I can totally understand someone owning lots and lots of shoes.

Remember Imelda Marcos?  She had something like 2000 pairs.

And ... then there's my shoe collection.  I'm not exactly in Imelda's league ... but I do have an awful lot of shoes.  I have a "thing" for shoes.

Sales tactic mostly.  However everyone has something they cannot live without in massive amounts.  LOL

Re: How Can Jane T Own So Many Shoes?

I think the hosts get a lot of things to try including shoes and clothes. I don’t doubt that Carolyn G has hundreds of D&Co items. When Jacque Gonzalez (sorry for any misspelling) was a host she put a photo of all her Vera Bradley bags cascading down her home staircase. She had hundreds. It was a visual that just made me realize how sometimes the concept of enough is never reached. At least both Jane and Carolyn have said on air that they donate regularly to keep the collection under some kind of control. I suppose some would argue that one has the right to spend their money as they see fit. For me, it’s a question of whether I own the collection of __________ or does it own me.

Why is this such a big concern.  If she owns them, fine.  If not, big deal.  I own tons and tons of shoes.  Maybe even more than Jane.  I don't care who believes it or not.

I dont see Carolyn much but I know she does a lot of Denim & Co shows and i’m not a fan of D&C but I did catch her the other day and she had a great haircut. It was very flattering. There is just too much chatter with the hosts these days. I wish they spent more time on the fit of clothes and less chatter

@Teddixat there is nice thread about her cute haircut, but then a stink bomb was lobbed in and posters just “walked” away rather than argue.

@SunValley. I did not see the thread and that’s unfortunate. I thought her haircut was absolutely adorable. I also wasn’t criticizing Jane for owning too many shoes. That certainly is her prerogative. I just found it hard to believe that she owns all the shoes she sells but maybe she does. If that’s her thing I get it. I love shoes and clothes but even for me there is a limit

I'm sure she gets free samples so she can talk about them on air after she wears them.  I'm sure she gets lots and lots of shoes because she sells tons fo the vendors.

I'd also think she probably gives away lots of shoes.  She seems like someone who would.

@Equuelus
I don’t really care about your shoes or how many pair you own.

@Teddixat  All hosts say they own this and that. I don't believe any of them! It's a sales ploy. Wish they would simply get to the information about the product rather that talk about themselves and how many they have, their families and what they've been doing.  We know all hosts receive freebies from vendors. Who cares how many items a host has? It's a perk of the job! It certainly isn't going to increase my purchases.

ETA:  Give me colors, leathers, show me the insides/outsides, stitching or glued to the sole, tell me about the company, where the product is made, if it is handmade or machine made, etc. Tell me about the height and pitch of the shoe. What kind of leather? Is the interior leather lined? What is the sole made of? Is it smooth or does it have a textured surface? Is it good for inclement (rainy or snowy) weather? How many toes show in a bootie or peep toe? So much more to talk about that no one ever covers!

Money screams; wealth whispers.
