In most cases I wonder if they just don't have all the sizes necessary on set for the hosts or models to wear. They should though.

I do not understand why hosts insist on wearing items that are way too small. I was considering the American Leather Co. leather jacket presented this morning. Leah has it on at least one, maybe two sizes too small. You would think the stylists know what size they should be wearing.

@sissy01

Who says 'the hosts insist' ?

They are probably told to !  QVC has stepped it up big time making sure ALL on air are wearing QVC items.....even vendors!

Maybe they didn't have her size on the rack, maybe the stylist thinks she looks fine, etc etc.

We all see models in sizes WE think are too small.....

Jackets are tough to fit, IMHO.  To get the right size in the shoulders may not mean it crosses the tummy!

This subject is brought up a lot, you would think QVC would get the hint.  Evidently they are not worried about it.  They have producers and hosts and other employees that could also say something.  But again, this is something that falls on deaf ears.

I do like the ideal of the hosts modeling clothes in general.  I see a lot of items I would like to have (alas, usually I cannot afford QVC prices), and I like to see how the item looks on a real person of average weight and height.  So, I do like the idea.  And I like that they have more items for men, too.  The guys are always having to show their shoes!  And they now have more items for men in grooming and clothing, as well as skin care (thank you Alberti for making it a point to show men it is okay to use skin care products).

And, just for a personal note, whoever that African-American male model they have that usually shows the belts, razors, etc.  my goodness he is handsome!  Smiley Surprised

@Caaareful Shopper

Leah has often mentioned on Sat. Mornings that she and a "consultant" go over the clothing she has a choice to wear the next day. Leah is given a choice of three outfits. It she can't decide which one to wear during the  Friday meeting, she makes up her own mind on Saturday mornings. Good or bad, the final decision is Leah's! Apparently also is the constant layering and the ever-present over the shoulder bag which she loves to hide behind.

Wish the "consultant" would see her before and onto the on-air program each morning. Leah's choices are not any better than a newer host whom I'm unable to watch for so many reasons. Obviously, QVC doesn't see what viewers do.

@BirkiLady   Yup, I am NOT a fan of Leah's, but as if she cares. I just find her all over the place and its if the voices in her ear piece get her puzzled, sometimes. I know many are fans of hers, but just my opinion and many of my QVC friends and family.

I really loved Jennifer Coffey, but many will be doing cartwheels and popping the champ with her retiring. We can all agree to disagree. In fact, Mr Wilkes shocked me when saying he can't stand Mary Beth Roe who is my fam's absolute fave, but we are all able to have our own likes and dislikes where we can air it out and hopefully not get chastised for it.

I know I will celebrate when Leah, Shawn, & Jane do there last show just like many of you can't wait to POP the champ on New Yrs Eve with the New Year and Jen's last show.

Leah does appear dazed, and confused, I get embarrassed for her, as I watch her, which is seldom!!!! As far as Jen C. I'm not a fan

They probably shouldn't wear items that are 'way too tight'.

But, on the other hand, we are able to see how very snug the item is, and then decide to size up one or two sizes.

(As long as the host mentions which size she/he is wearing.)

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

Why are hosts modeling? QVC usually hires models. It makes no sense to have the hosts attempt to do a job their are not trained to do, while a well- trained model in standing in the background probably bored to tears with the chaos!

Nice job of pitting QVC employees against outside hires, QVC. Doesn't help with a happy work environment if the models are not able to do their jobs.

I just don't see the need for male hosts to be modeling the women's clothes.  Is this to show sizing or that the clothes are attractive to wear on men as well as women?  I don't see it!
