@geezerette - Oh, I totally missed that; I watched again and see what you described. It's interesting because her digging around with a fork to show the crab cake texture is something I was thinking of when I wrote in my post about her closeup shots for the camera.

Wow, we are spending a lot of time on crab cakes today, aren't we?!  Smiley Happy

@geezerette - Ditto! As I mentioned previously, I don't eat any seafood. I am actually guessing I originally missed seeing Mary's bite because they had recently cut away from showing the dismemberment of the crabs, which turns my stomach a bit.

@Tatanoo46 I know I should know better but that kind of stuff bothers me too!

No crabcake is a good crabcake unless it is an authentic MD crabcake which this brand is not.

Uh Oh....better not watch when "low carb" David returns from vacation and eats a piece of cookie or Prindables on ITKWD

You'll lose your mind!!!!!

How sad to knock Mary because she took a small bite of a crab cake. It’s like cheating on a diet people do it. Besides I’m sure Mary buys this brand for Mr. D and therefore she can say it’s her favorite brand.

This post is ridiculous. Even if a host shares their health concerns or food preferences, it is entirely up to them to decide how and what they eat—it is utter nonsense to judge someone based on your thoughts about what they should be doing with their diet.

perhaps, but when Mary was on with David there was a big deal made out of her "celiac gluten" issues

so when she suggests that she might eat a non gluten  food viewers remember,

just pick a lane and stay there

@jackthebear - She still talks about this health issue in her shows. That doesn't mean it's anyone else's business how she chooses to eat or take care of herself.

For the love of Christmas- I've never heard Mary go into specifics about her health, but she did say once that it was "not celiac." People will speculate, but her health is her own business anyway.

It does not make sense sense that intentionally made up her gluten free diet. To what end? And how really does that make her "dishonest?" I'm sure that Mary, who knows her own health, figured that a bite or two of this particular crab cake was not going to make her ill.
