Home Reflections TSV Sheet set

Whatever happened to Northern Nights sheets and other bedding? I really liked the 2 folksy girls (?sisters) that represented the brand back in the day.

Todays TSV vendor mentions several times about fabric pilling and how it "never happens with this cotton/poly blend set".

It has been my experience that the only time I have EVER had pilling on sheets is with a blend. This is why I switched to 100% cotton sheets years ago. I also love the breathe-ability factor.

Just my recommendation, for whatever it's worth.

Also, does anybody here sleep on bamboo sheets? Wondering about the feel of bamboo sheets and also their durability.

Re: Home Reflections TSV Sheet set

I totally agree with you about 100% cotton, and my older Northern Nights sheets which I still have and love. Also, btw, remember when they had "Amadeaus" sheets? I have two sets of those and they were so nice...they had a silky feel, but were cotton as well.  I looked at these today and got annoyed at the "cotton blend", which is immediately a deal-breaker for me...I thought don't just vaguely tell me that...tell me what's in it. And in my experience as well, cotton/poly always pills...haven't bought a blend in about 20 years and not starting again now.  I've never bought bamboo sheets but am familiar with it in clothing...in the clothing I've seen or bought it's beautiful, very soft and cozy, just a quality material...pricey, but you pay for all the great qualities in it.  I wonder myself how bamboo sheets would be...I'd guess soft and breathable.

Seems QVC and mfr's in general, are cheaping out more and more to keep prices low...cotton has gone up. Precious metals...they are always doing the "14k gold over silver" stuff.  Bring back the Northern Nights line with the quality of 15 years ago! Today's TSV, though the pink gingham is so pretty, is an easy pass for me because of the "blend."

I have them and love them.  They are soft, silky and cool, however, they wrinkle easily.  Still wouldn't trade them in for any others.

@deedledeedeedle  I also agree - I don't buy any linens unless they're 100% cotton, first thing I look for on the label.
