I've never seen banks close on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Neither a federal holiday nor a Federal Reserve Bank holiday.

I've always worked that day. All equity markets are open, although major exchanges will close at 1 pm.

My local banks will be open normal hours Friday and Saturday until noon.

Banks in Michigan are only closed for the actual holiday - normal operating hours on Friday & Saturday.

~Not new, never been banned. Every time I take a break I have to re-register for some reason~

@SharkE. I was going to say, there's a law in Texas that banks can't be closed three consecutive days. I imagine most, if not all, states have the same rule.

@SharkE I think @Kachina624 is right...we have the same laws in SC & GA. Banks can NOT be closed for 3 consecutive days, no matter if those days are weekends/holidays.
