Hello? Customer Service? Hello????? Customer Service???? Hello? Customer Service???

This is my first and last post on QVC's forums.... I was turned over for collection!!!???

Luckily for me, my Credit Union caught a fraudulent transaction from occurring in my checking account about three or four months ago. What a relief it was stopped. Someone in a store in Florida was trying to charge $400 to my Visa Debit card. Not online, but someone actually standing in the store trying to purchase something. It was definitely not me, I have never been to Florida, I am in Michigan. I still don't understand how someone could be so close to taking my money, and If not for a third party monitor-er, I would have been out the $400. Not much, but after paying for my daughter's wedding this year, every penny in my checking account is being watched very carefully in a very tight Christmas budget!

On to how that has effected QVC... I had two items currently in easy pay at this time. It never occurred to me to change my Debit card number with QVC until I received a letter in the mail informing me that the transactions did not go through on my easy pay orders. OK, sorry...I got online and made both of the payments and changed the credit card on file on both transactions. I called Customer Service to explain the situation and was told that as long as I changed these numbers everything would be fine. I only owed one more payment of $26 something, the other item was now paid in full. As far as I was concerned, it was a done deal, until I got a call from a collection agency!!!

QVC turned me over to a collection agency!!! For the $26 something they were unable to take from the old card I deleted from my QVC account???? Hello? I called Customer Service! They said the credit card number was changed to the new one and I knew it was changed because I did it myself!!! But they didn't even bother to charge the new card I put all over their website??? They only tried to use the old cancelled card!!!!!!!! I was furious! I immediately paid the collection agency their $26 something because QVC no longer owned my debt. I didn't even get a phone call! I didn't even get a letter! All they had to do was look at the account and see that the card number was changed!!!!! Not send me to a COLLECTION AGENCY!!! Then I forgot about it, I guess....until Today!

I received an Email from QVC showing the 5 pack of WEN. I have been purchasing this for the last three years...also this month is the Philosophy gifts and the face wash and exfoliator for myself...and they were about to have another easy $500 in easy pays and auto deliveries from me. So, I went in my account to see If I could get the Living Grace for myself as a Christmas Gift, you know, the to me, from me gift??? It wouldn't let me edit the fragrance, so I was doing some poking around in my account to see what else was being shipped automatically this month, and that is where I found the note, under the easy pay column where I was sent to a COLLECTION AGENCY for not paying the last $26 something on my In-Styler!

I didn't even try to make a purchase. I will NOT try to make a purchase! Instead, I cancelled my auto-deliveries, not just for this expensive month, but for all the months to follow! I have had it! I wrote Customer Service a letter trying to let off some steam; that wasn't enough. I decided I had to share this story.

Thinking back to that phone call I had with that nice lady from the COLLECTION AGENCY, when I was asking how I could possibly have an item in collection from QVC when I didn't owe them anything. She actually asked me if I changed credit cards on file with QVC. I had to think a minute, she caught me off guard with this mess. She said their company handles alot of collections from QVC because people change their credit card numbers on their account and QVC doesn't bother to look at the accounts, that they automatically send the accounts to Collection if they can't get their money!

Now, in this day and age, when money is tight for everyone, especially after paying for a wedding three months ago, I think the only advantage one company can get over another would be in their Customer Service Department. For QVC to treat a long time customer in good standing like this is Inexcusable! The only way I have to retaliate for being turned over to a COLLECTION AGENCY is to share my story with every other customer I can get to read this book.

I have been disable for the last eight years, and shopping is really tough, especially this time of year with all the crowds in the stores. I have to do most of my shopping online because my back hates me. But QVC is dead wrong to think they are the only company there is to shop at for Christmas Gifts! Ladies, let me tell you, there is FREE SHIPPING all over the Internet! I also shop HSN, who now sells Lancome and Carol's Daughter, both of which I LOVE! They also offer FREE SHIPPING!!! and guess what!? I also had easy-pays with HSN when I had to change my credit card number, and their Customer Service got it right! The First Time!!! Without hurting my credit!

Thanks QVC for showing me where I can find Quality, Value, Convenience, AND Customer Service!

Happy Holidays,

Your Former Customer
