Having to click on each separate response to read it!

Huh! I registered this morning on my PC and iPad.  All was well.  Now I decide to check the forums again and responses under a topic look different from this morning, and it's necessary to click on each response to read it.  What happened?  ( Yes, I saved my preferences this morning.)
