Perhaps, they were interested in the product and that's why they were watching.....the online descriptions don't give a lot of info.....and if you wait for a video to be posted, it might be sold out...

@Spurt You know what really slays me... the ilk that thinks we all tune in with the intent to buy... What if you just want to check something out? Take a look?  Gather some information? 'Window shop', for pity sake... I see the Q defense team is, as usual, out and about, but try as they might, you just can't defend the level of 'salesmanship' currently being employed here. At one time, one could tune in and obtain a measured, informative product overview. Now, it's all about the hype and the frenzy. This has nothing to do with whether or not one wants to see a sales presentation or is interested in a product, It has to do with expecting presentations that are detailed, meticulous and methodical, that demonstrate at least a modicum of class and professionalism. It has to do with the difference between Cirque du Soleil and Ringling Brothers... QVC having devolved into the latter.

Re: Hard Sell with Finger Pointing

I find sales techniques interesting.  I agree some can be annoying, but I'm looking at it differently.  I am able to separate it from my interest in a product.  No amount of "finger pointing", which I've not noticed on QVC, or hyped up speak, will make me purchase something I don't really want.  But seriously, if you are tuned into a shopping channel, or if you physically step into a sales arena (a car dealership comes to mind), you better be prepared for what happens.  Personally, I like the sales challenge, and I like playing the game.

@stevieb AMEN STEVIE AMEN!!!  WELL SAID!

I was watching Pat present something this morning....I was AMAZED at the professionalism, the calmness, the product info provided, and she actually let the vendor speak---SHOCKING! Smiley

@Spurt Truly a hair raising experience... Why, it they had more professional hosts like Pat, they might not need to sell the hair helmet, because we'd all be SO shocked... anyone who's follically challenged would be instantly improved.

Also shocking, I see I was just poofed over on the 'what are you so sick of' thread... It seems it's all right for some posters to denigrate us and those of a like mind about QVC's 'offerings, but we, on the other hand, are just supposed to sit and take it... lest we be 'unkind'... What a truckload... Tell KS I'm on my way to SC to gather up some horse puckey... I figure it can't hurt to spread a little more of it around these parts...

@stevieb  That's a sore spot with me too...the "defenders" get to say what they want despite their "inciteful" and "agrumentative" comments and some valid feedback doesn't seem to get "the light of day"....I'll tell Katie your on your way, and when she cleans her barn to "save ya some"---..... Woman Wink  Westchester could use some of that "joy" Woman WinkWoman Wink

Yes, Pat does a good job and I'm glad whenever I see her host......and of course Carolyn  a favorite too.....With the temporary shortage of hosts (some are on vacation, Jacque out on medical, MB's accident, etc etc) it's strange we don't see a bit more of Alberti, Gabrielle, or some of the others that display a professional persona.....

@stevieb yes, the double standard with regard to the "appropriateness" of posts is pretty obvious.

Re: Hard Sell with Finger Pointing

@JP60 not for me, if I happen to be home on Saturday morning, I change the channel once AM style is over -- sometimes before that, but always before the 10 a.m. show starts.
