HSN airing from QVC studio

This is not "exciting" news or anything but I thought it was interesting. MaryBeth said this morning that several hosts and producers from HSN were on their way to the QVC studios to air from there due to the weather.

My first thought was the logistics. All their products have to be transported from Florida to Pennsylvania. I'm sure the PTB know what they are doing and I wish them luck. I do miss live TV from HSN as I like to switch channels when an item or host is on QVC that I have no interest in.

Prayers to Florida and I hope it all goes well for everyone at HSN.

I hope that they and their families are all safe. I don't know where their warehouses are, do you?

@cjm61 That is interesting. I guess they are not anticipating being able to broadcast from their Florida location very soon. I too have missed them live on air and I hope they are all okay, also everyone else in Florida. Jeez, so much disruption these storms cause along with heartache. Thanks for letting us know, I didn't see MB say that this morning.

I am just seeing reruns on hSN, I think they taped Perlier TS over last weekend in advance. It is not an easy feat now to be traveling out from FL.

I believe HSN is in Tampa and most of my packages come from Piney Flats, Tn

@cjm61 HSN ships much of their merchandise out of QVC warehouses, especially the one in Bethlehem, Pa., so it may not be as complicated as you think. It may be right at hand.

I heard about that too. I remember last year when some HSN hosts went up to QVC to practice for this very situation.

This has been done over the years. Those who worked for QVC before might be happy to see those they worked with before.

I might be misremembering but I thought years past at least once when there was a weather event that HSN went to Tennessee and did broadcast from a studio there.

I think a move to QVC headquarters makes sense. It sounds as if there may be a longer than usual recovery time for the area.
