HSN has officially notified the Florida Department of Commerce that a total of 730 employees at the Florida location will be terminated.
145 officially terminated on or soon after May 26th. Additional terminations July 1st and the balance by year end to oversee closure of the facility.

You say by year end, so does that mean they will join the Q at the year end or before that? I have heard on here they are moving to PA but don't remember when. That's such a shame that all those people will be out of jobs.

Re: WARN Notice of Layoff at HSNi, LLC and HSN, Inc.
1 HSN Drive, St. Petersburg FL 33792
Dear Government Officials:
We regret to inform you that HSNi, LLC (FEIN: 59-3490596) and HSN, Inc. (FEIN: 26-2590893) (collectively the “Company”) will be conducting a permanent closure and complete cessation of all operations at its offices located at 1 HSN Drive, St. Petersburg FL 33792.
As a result of this closure, except for a group of corporate support related team members who will continue their employment in Florida in a remote status, the Company plans to permanently terminate the employment of all employees employed at this location.
The elimination of positions is expected to occur in phasesfor a period of time to last approximately through the end of 2025. In the first phase of the closure, 145 employees, out of approximately 730 who will ultimately be impacted, at that location will be laid-off on May 26, 2025, or during the 14-day period commencing on that date. Additional layoffs have been planned for July 1, 2025 and future dates in 2025.
We will update you as dates are finalized.
This layoff will be permanent, but the location will remain open during the phased closure.
None of the affected employees are represented by a union, and bumping rights (that is, the right to avoid termination by displacing another employee) do not exist.

So sorry for this development. I always hate to see anyone lose their job.

Are they expecting violence from the terminated employees, I am a rational thinking adult and this letter makes little sense. They are so called adults not High School students.

This is what a WARN Notice means; it has nothing to do with violence:
The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) of 1988 is a US labor law that protects workers, families, and communities from the impact of mass layoffs and plant closings. It requires advance notice of the layoffs and/or closings.
The State of Florida requires filing and publication of this notification, as do a majority of other states. These are known as WARN notices.

@I am still oxox almost every state and I know that NY requires written notification when layoffs are happening. When unions are involved it gets a little bit more complicated with pensions and what nots and contracts.

@I am still oxox Of course not. Why would there be violence? Im sure the lay-off was not unexpected. The WARN notice is required by Federal law in the case of a mass lay-off.
