" First of all Do NOT pay Extra for a faster delivery. Paid for the RED an extra $38. web site states if order is placed before noon item ships same day and the EDD was the next day. My item did not ship until the day it was suppose to be delivered. I was refunded a partial shipping fee. But since the tv was a birthday gift and did not arrive when it was suppose made no difference. QVC, was not concerned with the stress this caused. HSN had at least offered me a credit on a future purchase when an item came delayed. All QVC said was we'll apply this experience in future training. Was not looking for a full refund or a free anything, but the shallowness I was shown from a million/billion $ company is pathetic. I was told that items such as this are shipped directly from vendor and require extra processing time. Well QVC maybe that should be stated clearly for people when making a purchase. So So disappointed. Still haven't received item, supposedly Monday Now.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Curiosity, why would you wait, until the day before someone's Birthday, to purchase a TV, that was going to have to be shipped? If the Birthday was that close, wouldn't it have been better to buy locally? While I understand you're disappointed, I can't imagine, that it ruined a Birthday. They're getting a TV! I would be thrilled, and if it was a few days late, I'd be getting a late Birthday gift, but, I'd still be thrilled! Even if the recipient is a child, shouldn't be hard to explain, the TV you wanted for them, had to be ordered, it's going to be late, but, it's coming. I've never used overnight shipping, frankly, no matter where it's coming from, I'm skeptical. I'd be hoping, but at the same time, not surprised if it didn't happen. I have used expedited shipping, from QVC and other places, never disappointed. I'd expect my shipping refunded, and realize I need to shop earlier, to avoid disappointment.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

From the FAQs:

UPS Premium (Red): Order before Noon ET on a business day and the package ships the same day. Order after Noon ET and the package ships the next business day. Please allow 1-3 business days from the order date for delivery.

Seems clear to me -- 1 to 3 business days.

It would be really convenient if birthdays happened on the same day each year to allow you to plan since waiting ntil the last minute to purchase can always be risky.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Wow. You're ""stressed"" because an item you ORDERED *the day before you needed it* didn't arrive spot on. And the *company* showed shallowness in its reaction? This is hilarious OP. Thank you for the Saturday grin.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Have to agree, it pays to plan ahead, and if you don't then to shop locally... or if the recipient isn't local, then to send an electronic gift card... On the other hand, perhaps if virtually everything the Q sells these days didn't ship from the manufacturer, maybe they'd have a little more control over arrivals... Of course their infamous 'business plan' seems to be one that minimizes maintaining stock and puts them primarily in the role of taking and processing orders but having little to do with their fulfillment...

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

This is OP's 3rd post so maybe she's new.

Still, I'd never order something one day before I wanted it. That's not rocket science, it's just plain old fashioned common sense.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Yep, it appears she posted the same thing in two locations... and then another about shipping... I get the frustration, but really, sometimes we have to accept at least partial responsibility for making dicey choices...

This sounds like the ""QVC ruined my Christmas"" post.

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I guess the Q shouldn't allow next day shipping on items that won't be shipped...I am not sure I would have seen what K-Toby printed out about the rules.....just where are they written.....I will give OP a pass on this as it could have been me...

I try to get my gifts with plenty of time to spare...but sometimes things happen...

I remember taking a package to the post office and paid for next day delivery....the postman promised it would be going out....well it didn't...and I went back and got my money refunded....the package arrived a few days later...

Re: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

If someone gave me a television for my birthday, I'd be incredibly grateful, and I wouldn't have any problem at all with it being a few days late. I'd like to think that others, no matter what age, would also be very appreciative. I'm thrilled when people just call to wish me a happy birthday. Smiley Happy I'm often doing last minute shopping, so I can relate. I've also experienced times when items weren't delivered as scheduled. It can be frustrating, but I've never been offered a future credit when that happened, though.
