Many posters, myself included, have decided to boycott the festivities because it is too early. If enough people tune it out, sales will decline. We need to send a message that this is too early. Schools arent even out in this part of the country. No one is thinking about Christmas.
Yeah. Have fun at the barricade, Jean Valjean.

Looks like they've jumped the gun on June 30th.

Love getting most, if not all, of my shopping done before the crazy, busy Holiday season starts right after Thanksgiving. Getting my purchases finished in the summer means I can enjoy all the parties, window shopping at the beautiful displays in the winter, and spending time with family without stressing out. It's a win-win!
Should a xmas present be something special? Getting it overwith to enjoy the holiday seems sad

Ugg, I don't watch a single minute of Christmas shows. Consumerism at its worse. I just have to change the channel.

We can look ahead and plan for holidays and events and, at the same time, enjoy and appreciate the present “here and now” season. The 2 aren’t mutually exclusive.
When shopping involves processing and shipping, we can’t always accurately predict delays, damage, errors, sellouts, etc., so the closer we are to the holiday or special event the harder it is to satisfactorily resolve those problems. In that way, and also when we can pace ourselves and plan our purchases and not feel rushed, it actually can be a stress reliever.
I think the early holiday promotions were expanded and amplified by the explosive increase in online shopping, and evidently it’s profitable. It doesn’t bother me, personally. How we react to it is our choice — while it’s human nature to file our complaints, I don’t think this type of promotion will go away.😊

RFlowerbug. many of us keep QVC on 12-15 hours a day so yes we are forced to watch it. I have found some of it bleeding over to QVC 2 also.
