@amyb. I LOVE her days ahead. And buy one every year.  I sent one every year to my Aunt/Godmother.

Nice~thanks for sharing. Your Godmother sounds accomplished. I used to get those little daily flip calendars too, at one point....and some of her books, and hanging calendars. I had a close friend and she and I loved ME...and we'd always give each other ME things. It really is amazing how many illustrations she's done!

The other day I was watching the Shawn Unfiltered podcast episode from last week, with the rep from McKenzie Childs, (very interesting about that company, btw)...and it's always reminded me of ME. So I dug out one of my old books "Home Companion" to peruse again.

Our Thanksgiving will be very small this year.  Just our daughter and son-in-law. Usually it includes the grandchildren and their spouses, and a great grandchild but there are other families to consider now since all the grandchildren are married. I think daughter is kind of relieved to get a break so it will be very simple....chicken

casserole, green beans, cranberry salad, dinner rolls and pecan pie at our house this year.

I used to have it but my daughter took it over a couple years ago after I had a stroke.  Everyone always brought a dish.

Even though it seems very different, we are so thankful for all the blessings we have received down through the years  and for having such a thoughtful daughter who is always there for us.
