Happy New Year, Spurt and everyone!

It had a rough start. I said good-bye to my son who leaves for Afghanistan next week. I pray he and his soldiers come home safe and sound.

I was run off the interstate in a snowstorm on Monday too. I'm lucky, though. It could have been so much worse.

Happy New Year everyone, and I'll take some of that snow others seem to be getting. Not a ton of it and it's too late for that White Christmas, but a little snow would be nice!

Stevieb, I bet the Northeast would be glad to send you some of that snow they're expecting. We have about 4 inches here in Indiana, but I would send you an inch or two of my snow if I could. Our area can handle it, but that would be less for me to shovel. Smiley Happy

Calm: thanking your son and all the troops serving overseas. I hope they stay safe. I can't imagine what you're going through right now.

Oh, no snow for me! It complicates my life too much. I drive a long way on country roads to get to work and they are the last roads cleared and the crazy drivers drive like it is sunny and dry. And if I lose power, I lose water - have a generator but the pull cord is a pain the you know what to pull at my age! And I have to have water for the horses!

The only way I could take snow is if it is gone by noon the next day.
