Gray and pale forum pages - do we know why?

[ Edited ]

That's my question.  I haven't seen an explanation.  Maybe I missed it.

On a related note, I had to change the subject heading from "Has it been clarified why the forum pages are so gray and pale?" because everything after the "g" in gray was cut off.

Why can't the titles be shown in full?  Or why isn't there a feature so that if you hover your mouse over the title, you can see the whole thing?

Thank you.

Good question.  I haven't seen any mod explaination either.

I feel we definitely need more contrast in the posting areas.

The small default font size, especially on an ipad is one thing that needs to be tweaked. The Lithium software designers are likely very young, do not need reading glasses, and do not understand that a lack of contrast between the background and print is hard to read for many people. Gray font is especially bad.

I do appreciate that there's contrast between one post and another so that it's easy to see where one post starts and ends.

I posted several weeks ago that I would like the topic font color to stay blue. When I enter the forums from another Q webpage, the thread titles are blue and so much easier on the eyes. As soon as I click a thread or sub forum, the titles change to black. I would like for them to change that font color if they can't change the grey. I recall it was this shade of blue with the old format.

@wildcat fan, I think you're seeing the thread titles in blue when you click "Blogs & Forums."  That's the only place I see this happening.

I agree, the white background with a system default to a small dark gray for the text is really hard on the eyes.  The overall display isn't ergonomically pleasing.  Based on the numerous comments, I think a change would be a welcome relief to posters.

Probably because of QVC's IT department's poor design and testing for these changes!!!

Make it light blue and medium blue in threads. (to separate posts)

I think the grayish background is easier on the eyes instead of that white. But, I agree that with the quoted posts, it is hard to see where one quote ends and the next one begins.
