I don't understand why QVC insists on having Rick host these shows. All he does is eat, interrupt the vendors and knows nothing about food. I love Sharon and have seen Leah and Jill co-host with her and they are great

I really agree with you! Today he stepped on the set while the caramel apples werre being shown and literally stepped in front of the the camera blocking the live feed. They all laughted it off.

It's so much fun to watch him on the food shows . What does anyone have to know about pitching food. Either it's good or not and eating it and enjoying eating it is what it's about. The vendor is there to tell about the rest!!!

I like Rick on food shows. He eats because...that's what's he's supposed to do. He reacts like most people would when presented with food they like.
They all are just doing their job the best they can. It's not solving 3rd world problems. I can do without extreme eye dramatics and long soliloquies about an apple or a chicken wing. I prefer Rick any day.
I also love Leah, and Jill on the gourmet shows.

So much of it has to be fake. Some of the food items are not good at all, but the hosts have to convince us they are. I remember Kathy Levine sharing how when they first brought food on, they'd eat everything and then feel sick before the show was even done. They learned to take small bites rather than wolf down large portions. I've bought some food items through the years, but didn't find any of them exceptional but for a few cakes. Prices are steep for many items and if they're not great, then it's a waste of money.

Based on the food shows, QVC viewers will never know that the food may not be good - unless they order it!! As they taste, the hosts have to look like they love the food.
That said, I do order food from the Q. Some have been great and I have reordered. And some others were really bad and I have asked for a refund.

I've only found a handful of food items that are worthy of purchasing every year. Most of the stuff isn't even CLOSE to being gourmet.

I would rather have Rick host, then Sharon on food shows.
