While watching the Gifts We Love shows, l can't help but think, "Would l want to receive any of these gifts??"

  PooPourri

  socks

  surge protectors

  remote control outlets

  sponges

Please, QVC, come up with some gifts that people would actually be proud to give, or happy to receive!! Not just stuff you want to clear out of the warehouses...

I'd be happy to receive any of these...except for the poo pouri (however it's spelled!).

I get all of the shopping channels and occasionally I'll do a drive by to see what they are all featuring. It must be weird timing, because every time each channel is selling boots or slippers that look like boots, so I'm thinking maybe some folks are getting boots for Christmas.  Either that or everyone needs new boots.LOL.

Don't recall which channel was selling the FUR LINED BOOTS........but the host said, "You can even wear these in summer".    She was kidding, right?

@handygal2  For me, your request was much easier to fulfill (giving me a gift I would love to receive) in the days when QVC sold fine silver and gold and gemstone jewelry that was actually very nice and worth the price.
Now that we are in the era of passing off bronze and brass metals as fine jewelry rather than 18kt or at least 14 kt yellow and white gold, forget giving me a gift from QVC.   About the only thing I like is LOGO and I buy my own.

I cannot imagine giving or receiving poo-pourri for a gift.

Oh come on now @handygal2... you seem to have forgotten the other fabulous options... Why, there's the coal miner's hat, the windshield screen, the sun visor, steamers and irons and vacuums, vaccums and more vaccums... There are also the five year old toys for all the kiddies... I mean come on now, what more could you want...

What gets me is it's always the same lousy array... Year after year... I gave up on QVC as a meaningful resource for holiday gifts year ago. I might still pick up a handful of items here, but there are far better options elsewhere, costing less and shipping for less...

@stevieb: Indeed!! And l can add even more to the list of "great" gifts, QVC-style: long-handled dusters, cleaning products, epilators, callus removers, etc, etc, ad nauseum...

One thing I haven't seen this year are those multicolored little flashlights that they sold in sets...they even had matching colored gift boxes!  Boy, they sure pushed those to the limit!

That poopourrie...they may think it's cute and clever, and yes, everyone "needs" it, but I certainly would be offended to receive it as a gift.  That would be right up there with two past Xmas gifts that my husband "gifted" me...one was a tooth whitening kit...the other was an exercise gadget.  It was like he said "Merry Christmas", honey...your teeth are yellow and your muffin top is getting a little out of control!

You can be assured he never "gifted" me those types of gifts again!
