QVC definitely plays with the pricing, not sure what the basis is for the price changes.

My qvc purchases are mostly fashion and accessories. In retail, items come in at a regular price, at some point they may go on sale, and at the end of the season they go on clearance, not co come back again.

On qvc, I have seen items i like go on clearance, i don't buy because don't see my desired color or size, but I follow up in case one pops in, and I have many times seen these items go in and out of "clearance" and in and out of sale AFTER they went on clearance.

Other times, the prices of an item that I am watching hoping it goes on sale, I see prices just change without indication that the item is on sale. Just the qvc or the sale price changes, no rationale offered. Sometimes they go up, sometimes they go down.

These experiences are not based on presentations, as I don't watch the shows, just shop on line.

It is NOT a ploy, when the item you want remains the SAME price as before and NOW you get free shipping.

There was NO price change on my items, thus NO manipulation.

I ordered a LOT over the weekend and not one single thing in my WL went up and 3 went lower. I know it can happen....prices change all the time just like they do on Amz.

It is a sales tactic to get us to buy more...yes, but no one manipulates me since I make my own informed decisions.

I agree with @RespectLife . Not one item I purchased with FS went up in price prior to this last weekend.

Example of one of my purchases: I purchased the scrunchie's at $5.27 a set. Today they are $6.59 same set. So yesterday I paid $5.27+tax. If I purchased the same exact item today it would cost me $10.09+tax. Almost twice as much today. Hmm, if this is manipulation I will take it.

Every other item I have purchased, on both HSN and QVC, has remained the same price or gone up after receiving free shipping.

For those of you stating the price went up right before free shipping days, there are hundreds of items at special deal pricing that clearly state it is on sale for a limited time. Could be One Day Only, One Time Only, Big Deals, etc. You need to pay close attention to these details.
