I'm sorry your bed didn't work out. We have two and love them. (One is in our guest room) Everyone who stays loves it too. Would never get a different mattress or use a different company then Sleep Number. The reason the Q took the bed back is due to their agreement with Sleep number. They have fantastic customer service. We had one of the side rails in our first bed start to break down after several years and they mailed us 2 new ones. No charge for shipping even.

Yes you are fortunate. We bought a sleep number bed roughly 5 or 6? years ago from the sleep number store. I dreamt of having this bed for years because I have a terrible bad back.

We hated it when we got it. We changed our sleep number on the remote almost daily for 2 weeks. I am a side sleeper and I would wake up with severe hip and back pain. My husband who is a stomach sleeper and does not have a bad back even woke up in pain.

Well needless to say the sleep number company would NOT take the bed back! They would only UPGRADE the bed to a higher model. (and a fortune more money). I was SO mad at the time.

We ended up keeping it and buying one of those pedic thick foam toppers from QVC. It helped the bed tremendously and then we kept it and now we are used to the bed.

IMO sleep number beds are ONLY good for BACK sleepers. Not for side or stomach sleepers. Because the air in it fills in your back curves.
