Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

Years ago, I turned QVC on as soon as I walked into the TV room and it was on pretty much all the time.  But recently, I rarely watch a Q show.

I do 'check ins' every so often, but have lost interest in many of the products offered. Can not stand many hosts' presentation techniques; many of the vendors are also difficult to watch!

Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

It strikes me as odd that many people who post on this forum claim to never, ever buy anything from QVC.  I also see quite a few posts that seem to predict and hope for the downfall of this company.
Lots of talk about shopping elsewhere and getting the same things for SO MUCH LESS, which is difficult to prove but is a great talking point, I suppose.

If you never shop here, have an intense dislike of 99% of the presenters, and hate the way the programming is now, why not walk away?

Why not find an online community more in line with your current interests?
Very strange, indeed.

@San Antonio Gal  Not the Face Book page I am on.  I am not on QVC's page.  Yes, they would poof it but the one I am on I believe it is just a private person that started it and they deleted nothing.  Linda Moss Blog,  They do not delete anything.  It has been nice to find people that feel just like me and be able to voice my opinion without it getting deleted.

How about the "opinion" that was posted there that Mary Beth "flaunts her biracial grandchildren"? Racist and should get deleted, shameful that it isn't. That equals a place where I wouldn't want to participate.

I believe the "opinion" was stated as -QVC has gone so woke and it's disgusting, even Mary Beth is flaunting her biracial grandchildren.

Wow, this is disgusting! So many gross people trashing the hosts like it's a sport. It's absolutely classless. Also, expressing racist, homophobic, etc. thoughts is not stating a harmless opinion, and I am so tired of hearing "it's my opinion and I have a right to say it". It's juvenile. So much more I could say, but it's not worth it.

I look online if something looks interesting but can't watch more than a couple of minutes. Host antics, lack of information about products, and repeating the same products over and over and over, turn me away.

Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

I’m perfectly satisfied with QVC. My deliveries have been fine, I rarely return anything & quality has been fine for me but I only buy fashion & certain brands. I don’t watch QVC much, only if I’m interested in the items being sold. I have enough jewelry but buy earrings, occasionally.

Host activity doesn’t generally bother me if I’m interested in the garment. I don’t mind two hosts as the banter is better than talking about one item ad nauseam; how much can you say? The two host programs are more lively in some cases, imo. I have my favorite hosts & Courtney is one of them. I do get annoyed by others but it doesn’t affect my buying decisions.

I have never been happy with quality at HSN so I don’t care if they are less expensive, free shipping etc.

As far as B&M stores: I hate Macys at our NJ mall as clothing is sloppily displayed & often on the floor. The sales people are of no help & often rude. I’ve found the conditions to be the same in NYC where I shop as well.

I have a casual lifestyle, am retired & older but don’t dress like an “old lady” as some posters suggest. I also buy online at Chicos, JJill & Talbot. I’m an online shopper and will do anything to avoid going to the mall or any B&M store. I don’t want picked over clothes that have been returned or tried on by others nor do I want to be annoyed by rude or disinterested sales people or search for a parking space.

I have enough clothing but like to refresh my wardrobe & enjoy color. I especially like CCB’s color pallet, SG design patterns & her wovens not LK & Belle’s fit.

I’d miss QVC.

Some people on this board are literally obsessed with JRT! Like every...single...post.

I really would seek some help if I were that consumed with a television personality.

@HLP   Macy's and Blair are 2 of my "go to" stores.  Frequent sales and frequent free shipping.

Haven't bought pants there but Lands End, LL Bean sell many long pants.

I just bought 2 dresses, 2 tops and a pair of shoes for my daughter from Macy's.  One dress in the store & I went back because 2 days later the price dropped on line $20 so I went back to the store for a price adjustment.  That dress ended up costing $39 and the one I bought on line was $33.  The tops were $17.99 and $14.99 and the shoes were $45 (leather platform dress shoe).  All with free shipping.  I like that I can go to the store for a price adjustment and to return things if I need to.  I haven't shopped Macy's in years but I'm pleasantly surprised.
