Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

Since shopping is such an addiction for so many people I believe QVC will be fine.

Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

When QVC decided to go so casual / west coast vibe / beach they lost me.

I do / did like Tolani. LOGO and Attitudes/WWC .... but recently .... nothing.

I have lots of other places to shop.

I agree that the prices don't justify the lack of quality in the items presented.

The hosts - well I marvel at the lack of certain training that they don't have - like voice lessons.  It's what is important in acting of every sort and sales too. The false excitement reads juvenile and immature.  Viewers pick that up and get turned off by it all.

@Puzzle Piece  Your sentence re false excitement, etc sure hit home w/me.  Why do they think acting like 2 yr olds, jumping up and down, gasping, giggling is going to get me to buy.  All I do is shake my head and change the channel.

Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

I've pretty much stopped watching QVC. I only watch two shows with two different vendors. Other than those two I have no use for the Q anymore

Re: Finally really losing interest in QVC

I agree with most of the posts. I have stopped shopping because of the hosts who either over talk the other host or vendor, they are extremely annoying with information that I personally don't need to hear, they treat the time they are on as some poor man's comedy show. Products are just not up to the previous quality that QVC used to carry and pricing has become extremely high. I usually search the Internet for items that I am looking for because they offer better pricing, free delivery and returns. The few things that I still buy are JAI, BFD and occasionally Spenco. I only purchase these items if they are on sale because the pricing is still very high. I have to admit that the new delivery service is impressive; they let me know when my item has shipped, I get another notice as to when it will be delivered and finally an email to say my item has been delivered...that has NEVER happened. At least they are trying to so something right. I get this service from Amazon and Walmart, maybe they had a meeting. :-)

Good luck QVC, you know how to fix this, you just need to do it.

I was just commenting on how many emails I am receiving from the Q regarding an order.  Four emails per item is ridiculous...1-confirming order, 2-it is almost shipped, 3-is is shipped, 4-it is delivered!  All I need is confirm order and it is shipped....

Even the fake excitement is the QVC emails is annoying lol.  "How exciting" - something has shipped.  GMAB.  I guess it is though when something has finally finally shipped.

@JoshsMom  What I found in the past...when I bought tee shirts from Chico's and washed them a few times they looked terrible. They might be cheaper but do not hold up. Any tee I purchased from Isaac Mizrahi or Denim and Co. looks much better after seasons of wearing and washing. I still think (most of the time) you get what you pay for. Sometimes bargains are not worth it in the long run.

@Janey2     You should try the Supima Tee's from Lands End.

MUCH nicer quality than Isaac or those rubber D & C tees.

Many times you can catch them on sale, and, I often get an e mail offering a code for free shipping.

I think QVC  realized that Lands End was the competition so they are trying to get in on the action and are offering products from them now.   I hope they don;t ruin in.

Q already ruined it. You can get the same things on Lands End website for less money than Q wants. LE has a lot of promo codes out there and you get even better ones once you sign up/shop. The same goes for LE products on Kohl's and Macy's.
