Finally QVC hosts state …shipping dates (CIJ)

Although I am not buying I think it's wonderful now the hosts have repeatedly let the customer know when these CIJ items will ship🙂

This will certainly help with many who "miss the info" when placing order or "complaints" where is my order...

For once, I think the PTB listened ..of course, it would be terrific if they followed through with this verbiage on all items🤞🏻for the customer to know they will most likely be waiting ...

It also states the shipping dates on the product pages and, if you order, your email confirmation states your estimated delivery date.  If people will actually look at the information before complaining, that is.

Most CIJ items appear to be some sort of advance order.

Re: Finally QVC hosts state …shipping dates (CIJ)

I travel a lot in the summer, and I do not want purchases showing up on my front porch while I am gone.

I went online and checked all items that I purchased to ensure they were advance orders and would not ship until August or the Fall.

The other nice thing is that I do not have to pay until the items actually ship.

I do not need to be spoon fed information by the hosts--that is the joy of the Internet-- and the pride of being able to read all posted information instead of relying on the host's memory.

@homedecor1  Agreed, they are being more specific about shipping this year. But, I don't think it's going to reduce the "complaints." I was surprised to hear that some of Valerie's advanced orders were October 18!

I think the earlier advance shipping dates sold out.

Re: Finally QVC hosts state …shipping dates (CIJ)

I never got any email about my Valerie Lantern aside from "we got your order".

After over 2 weeks I emailed the social team and then found out that it wouldn't be shipped for about a month. She gave me an estimated date.

There was never any information that it wouldn't be shipped right away.

It definitely hasn't always worked that you are told by email when something would ship or estimated delivery date.

I didn't watch it live but did go back to watch the video and there was no info on shipping either.

This was a few months ago so I hope things have changed.

Maybe they did listen and things are changing.

My email order confirmations ("Thanks for your Order!") have the estimated delivery date on them.

And it should have estimated delivery or advanced order stated on the order page before you click "place order".

 @geezerette,

No, that is the surprising thing because I know what you are saying. It usually does say on the
thanks for your order email."

There was nothing about the shipping or estimated day of delivery.

Maybe It was a one time thing and they didn't expect such a delay. But there was no information at all.

I did thank the for the info but also let them know when they asked for any feedback that I wish they would have better communication and it should have said that it would take weeks to order.

I never have had that happen before. They apologized and agreed that information should have included some estimated day of delivery.

Yes, QVC has given shipment dates and even comfirmed on air and online regarding stating that the item is on Advanced Order and when it will ship......However, there are some items where shipment dates or a delay is not mentioned at all...then after waiting and checking order status daily hoping to see when your item is shipped--- SUDDENLY--- Advanced Order appears on your order status page without any clear idea of when it will finally be shipped.....those are the ones that generate complaints...

Re: Finally QVC hosts state …shipping dates (CIJ)

I think they are being upfront about advance orders simply because it's Christmas items that people won't use anyway until November at earliest.

Meanwhile on regular clothing and household items the fact that something is advance order often is NOT mentioned on air and online shows "in stock". You only realize you're not going to get your item in a timely fashion after you click submit.

My guess is that this is done because many people would skip buying if they knew it could be a month (or longer) before they received their items.

No one wants to buy summer clothing if they knew it wouldn't arrive until August.

A lot of sales would probably be lost if they were upfront with everything over shipping delays.
