I watch nothing associated with Shawn and I rarely watch Jane T.  I think they make everything about them.  Narcissists on parade.  But they are good for Q bucks coming in like they are on a conveyor belt so as long as they are making the big bucks for the Q, my voice is like the whisperer except nobody knows and nobody cares.

I don't understand what viewers dislike about Shawn. She is who she is and puts it all out there and is her authentic self. I understand there are times she's a bit over the top, but other hosts have quirks of their own. I'd rather watch someone who is real v. someone trying to make us believe she/he thinks she's a regular person when it's so obvious that person is a made up story and the host is trying harder to sell than the product on air.

The point of the whole thing is we each have opinions and are entitled to have them. We aren't going to like everyone on QVC and that's ok. That said, I find it wrong that the regular, long standing hosts are being pushed aside for new "talent", I use that term quite loosely here, and it's obvious the older hosts are trying too hard just to keep their jobs. That's just wrong. Q needs to realize us older folks probably spend more than the young crowd.

It's easy to forget that women of advanced years may have lived through the time when women were nothing more than property of their husbands or unmarried ones were labeled spinsters. When I see the older hosts on Q getting a little silky or loud I think it may be their way of letting older women know that is is now ok to have the life a woman wants to live without asking for permission. Whatever the reason I prefer happy over the top to preachy downers who know it all.

My mom was widowed at 54. In my eyes she was old. I'm 68 and except for my body's short comings, I feel like I am 30 ish, only better because I know now what I wish I had known back then. Honestly? I truly think that 65 is the new 30. If anyone remembers commercials from the 60's, grandmothers were portrayed as fat, wobbly ladies in thick lace up shoes on their feet and gray buns in their hair. It's nice to see a change in that attitude. That said, I can see where it gets over the top for some but at least it usually makes me smile.

All I know is what I heard, and I did hear it. I was surprised as well .

I believe it was selling a striped linen look outfit (sold separately of course). The top had a jewel neck and slacks were full length. I know at least one choice was earth tone stripes. I'm sorry I don't remember the date but I believe it was a night time show, maybe a Friday, and Gary was there. It may have been a time when Denim and Co was a TSV.

I try to keep an open mind to new programming ideas they come up with and I recognize not everything will interest or entertain me. Having said that, I am personally appalled at the emphasis, airtime and general hoopla to "help women over 50" navigate life. It is insulting at best to insinuate passing a birthday milestone as a women necessitates some transition that requires addressing myriad new problems that need  these products. Yes, our bodies as humans change with the decades, just like men lose hair, gain a paunchy belly, have prostate issues and also have the same skin changes that we do. And I have to agree with another poster...selling cookware and tummy tucking pants tells me that they are off the rails in understanding women. I like most of the hosts very much and am sad to see them promoting this in such a degrading and childish way. I hope they pivot away from this soon. It is insulting, IMO.

There is nothing new here. The Q has done the "traveling act" before. They've just given it a new name.

What they refuse to do is to go back to what once actually worked before: many new vendors and many new products on a regular basis. They now have about 1/2 dozen carrying the load, and it's tiresome. Newness is needed. Products and good prices are needed. The Q are in the homes of millions and should be actually "selling" not entertaining.

Making stars out of inadequate people  won't transfer into profits. Just like a bad serial, people won't watch. You're selling products and have some good sellers and some bad sellers.

Always hosts, hosts, hosts. Wrong direction.
