I watched the first s t 5 min of the Mally show once. That was it for me; I have no interest in promoting more of that nonsense by watching it. There is better programming elsewhere on TV so that's where I go. If you have to loudly broadcast that you're over fifty and fabulous, you've got a problem.

I agree with your comments.
Having given up on QVC programming long ago, I still post here and, most days, I am reminded of just why I stopped watching.
While I miss how things used to be, I realize there is no point in screaming to the rafters about it.
My money is spent elsewhere.

I think it could be fun programming for selling, but it does go off the rails. They apparently sell because lots of items get the Sold Out sign.
Mally has lost all credibility to me because she buys absolutely everything in the show, sometimes multiples of each item. We get it, it's a good sales tool, but extremely disingenuous.
Shawn is all about Shawn. In the latest installment, she and Mally were sitting with those huge fans of Mally's that spell out words. There were three brand reps standing behind them. Shawn held her fan up and completely blocked all view of Renee Greenstein behind her. Mally had the consideration to lower her fan so you could see the rep behind her. Seemingly, the producer in Shawn's ear, and also Mally, asked Shawn to lower her fan. Shawn, under her breath, said "always complaints, always complaints." She very reluctantly lower her arm a little to reveal Renee standing there. Very disrespectful to Renee.
That is the show. Mally is extremely loud and brings the excitement and the Buy! Buy! Buy! Shawn is irreverent and only cares about Shawn being the star in any way possible.
I like some shows more than others. I liked earlier installments much better than the most recent one. But in general, it's a very interesting way to shop.

Mally has always been loud. When she debuted her makeup line on QVC (at least 20 years ago because Lisa R was still a host), she came in the door loud. If she weren't loud and frantic it wouldn't be Mally. It's not my favorite style, but because she's consistent with her character, I accept this as being who she is. It doesn't strike me as an act as it does when a few others try it.
That said, I like the Fifty and Fabulous shows and accept that although my taste would be for guests and hosts like Laura Geller, Kathy Gendel, Valerie Parr Hill, Sandra Bennett, Mary Beth Roe, and Leah Williams, Q management seems to be leaning toward running shows like episodes of In Living Color.

On a related note, why is the QVC 50+ Facebook group that they started in conjunction with this advertising campaign full of stuff that has nothing to do with QVC?
Some of those selfies being posted makes it look like a dating website.
Definitely not something I want in my Facebook feed, so I decided to unlike/unfollow.

I agree with all you said about Mally and Shawn. I stopped watching Friday nights. I sit down on Friday night to relax and enjoy a show; not loud gibberish talk. Shawn just wants to talk about herself and her trips, Mally screeching and scrambling on her phone to buy everything; don't call that enjoyable viewing. Watched once or twice and decided to just check for items presented online. I don't know why Q ever thought to employ Mally and wish she would stick to being a vendor for those that enjoy her products.

Just happened to watch a few minutes last night a few minutes before midnight . Shawn was on with BF Dreams Rep but she was offered some kind of barbecue to eat by the Host Mary at midnight TSV presenting Foodie Fest food. Then in the middle of the Rep trying to present some item dramatically marked down, Shawn said she would "sue if there had been something wrong with the food she was offered and ate. "
What was that ? Made up drama ???

@skatting44 @I saw that also. I don't know. She used the big fork to simulate scratching her back and then ate the meat. I'm not for certain what to think. I thought she was kidding but she looked a little serious. I'm confused...I felt bad for the vendor because she didn't know what to think, I'm just hoping it was a stunt and that the meat was ok to eat. I know one thing...it made me want a sandwich!

Talk about out of control. Totally unecessary and rude to the BF Dreams vendor. Taking time away for Shawn to eat and make a scene. QVC is really degrading.

I actually think the 50 fab thing is QVC jumping on the bandwagon of all the 50 plus pages on Instagram. There's a few extremely popular ones out there with huge amounts of followers . And the F bombs and profanity is rampant, over sharing, tmi the norm. They probably saw that the age demographic was shopping this way and this is what their version is..
