I’m not believing the posts here. Changing names, shortening names for business or whatever reason is a personal decision.
LOGO is Lori Goldstein. Would you purchase more or less if her given name was on these garments? I bet Eve Pearl is her first and middle name....last name left off. So what?
Mentioning Ralph Lauren and Laurie Felt’s shortened name smells a bit “noninclusive” to me. That’s also why I threw in LOGO.

Many people shorten names and for all we know, maybe her friends call her that. My friend is "Fitz" for Fitzpatrick....so....she's not trying to hide her Irish roots. With "Felt" as said, maybe she wanted to be differentiated from her husband and his name, no crime here

IMO people change their names for all kind of reasons, it's been noted though that people who have short easy surnames are better received. I remember as a kid even people of my own ethnicity so to speak, had difficulty pronouncing my last name. I was embarrassed as a kid, but when I grew up I was very proud of my surname and loved to say it. I respect people who will take the time to ask you how you pronounce your name instead of just butchering it. I like would Feltheimer Jeans, Hot in Hollywood was just crass sounding and Felt is not honest.IMO

@NicksmomESQ Hmmm. Have to think about this one. I didn’t realize that in 2018, having a name that sounded ethnic would matter one way or the other. I thought we had progressed passed sounding or looking “ethnic”.

Oh, BTW, Joan Rivers’ real name was Joan Molinsky, married to Edgar Rosenberg.
When she went into show business, long before jewelry/clothing & QVC, people had to change their names because of the “times”.
Most of us are intelligent enough to realize those “times” are over.

@Shanus I didn’t say I supported the name change.I just gave an opinion as to why she might have done it. But realize that 2018 has not progressed as much as it should have.Look around we still have prejudice, racism, anti semitism, homophobia & misogyny.
