Re: Facebook Post Burying Rick D. in the sand

From the picture in post #6, it looks like the hole is only as deep as Rick's hips.  Then he sat down and they filled it in.

But I have to admit that his face looks kind of plasticky in the second picture, so maybe it IS a fake head.  (a really good one, if it is)

Much more likely that he sat in the hole.

Melissa McCarthy does the same thing in a commercial that's out now. I don't think it's cause for alarm.

It wouldn't be necessary to dig a hole 6ft deep.  They could have buried him sideways.  Chances are he wasn't buried at all but the picture was PhotoShopped.

@Kachina624  I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone. I'm sure my nephew who is now 5 can figure that out and say how it was done.

You just dig out a trench that is long and not very deep.  The person lays down and lounges back like they were in a recliner.

Sand is filled in around the person and around their shoulders.  There is nothing to cave in and bear weight on your chest.  You are actually right under the surface of the sand which is inches deep.

Rick can use his hands to get out and stand up.

To actually bury someone standing up is dangerous, but this is not what has been done.

Didn't anyone else do it when they were young, the safe way?

@Carmie  I'm right there with you.

Why does Rick have that yellow plastic bag wrapped around his chest?

What is the purpose of that?

IMHO this is photoshopped, look carefully-his neck and face are superimposed on sand.

Re: Facebook Post Burying Rick D. in the sand

I guess the purpose of the yellow bag was to kept the sand off his skin?

There are so many things that are wrong; I think posting your every move on Facebook is wrong & dangerous but people do it. There are many things that are wrong in society today but people do them. QVC has an adult audience capable of making sound decisions. Of all the things I worry about, burying someone in the sand with probably many people around them, is something that doesn’t bother me at all. Glad they had fun. No matter what Shawn does, she receives criticism.
