I bought a silver leather skirt of Bob Mackie's design from QVC. I guess those days are long gone. Can't remember when I saw the last leather, even faux leather on a show.

I agree with the posters!!  I rarely watch a Q show

anymore and if I do, rarely get through the entire show!

        Many reasons -

            hosts I will not watch

            vendors I will not watch

            products I would not buy

too many repeat presentations of products

            quality of products declining

            price of products climbing

many long timers are concerned that QVC will fail within the next 5-10 years. I pray it it still around for my grandchildren to enjoy as I have. QVC has brought a lot of enjoyment to seniors who live alone.

Well I’m thrilled that QVC has Billy T fashions. I love lyocell & I usually purchased them at Bloomingdale’s. I also like some of the new shoe brands they’ve featured. I purchased the banana fantasy sandal that Amy presented & love them. Also swear by Miz Mooz.

I’m not young but I’m happy to see variety & not the same ole same ole

I give it 1.5 to 2.5 years in some form or another.

@Group 5 minus 1, my heart is breaking, too! Bob Mackie has been a part of QVC for almost as long as I have been a customer. I have a closet full of his beautiful clothes. I miss seeing him on TV with his favorite models, Chantal and Kate.

Unfortunately, time marches on for all of us. The reason QVC has lost so many of our revered designers is age/retirement and - yes! - even death. Bob has moved on to other projects. Now that he is in his 80s we can’t expect him to keep designing for his adoring QVC fans. It’s a big commitment and I don’t blame him, but I sure miss him.

The newer designers IMHO don’t have the panache of Bob, Louis, Koos (remember him?), Victor Costa, etc. I don’t want to name names, but the only fashions I still buy from the Q these days are Kim Gravel’s, and I buy judiciously. Her printed tops can be eye-poppingly gorgeous, but I frequently return her clothing if it doesn’t fit well or the quality isn’t sufficient.

I have been a QVC shopper for almost 30 years.

I have a closet filled with Bob Mackie silk pants and silk blouses; I have a closet full of Louis del'Olio's beautifully constructed jacketsSmiley Surprisedh, my goodness! Gorgeous fabric, always lined, with such attention to quality and design details. I must have a dozen skirts from Louis as well, and they are still in style and I ALWAYS get compliments.

Thirty years ago, Joan Rivers jewelry was made in Providence Rhode Island and was just fabulous, all heavily gold plated. I must have a hundred pieces that I still wear.

I am an adult woman who loves Fashion.

I realize the Glory Days at QVC are gone, but at one time, the Q was fun to watch and learn from.

Kathy Levine was warm and funny, for instance. She did not prance, twirl, jabber, cackle, get hysterical at her own comments, babble endlessly, interrupt, or talk over anyone.

I just would like to watch hosts who dress professionally, who speak professionally, who have some manners and decorum.

Presentations are not a comedy show. What has happened?  I enjoy most of the  hosts who seem to be working hard, but the silly antics are not necessary.

Please remember that you are Women. I want to enjoy your presentations. I want measurements, sizes, fabric content. Sell me the garment.

By the way, I now buy from Land's End for my casual clothes. They are well made, there are lots of color choices, and they are Pretty. I love Pretty Clothes!

It appears this new CEO was not brought here to help with a range of new ideas that might help pull the Q out. I've seen no improvements to attract and bring new customers. A new CEO will see problems and solve problems. He seems to be brought in to see the end of the Q.

All he did was hire new hosts and promote everybody to have a lot of fun. There's absolutely no supervision of hosts. Nobody at the head seems to care what is happening. They are just passing time.

My sense is the PTB already see the handwriting on the wall and maybe for a long time.

Customers have begged for years for improvements. I think there still is a place for TV shopping. Somebody just has to reallize they need to first make it very attractive in many ways to the customers. People will buy....

Tag team hosts add nothing to the shows. The only exception is the three hour food shows where the hosts need a break.

Trouble is, it is NOT tag team.   It is two hosts for every product, one modeling and talking and the other holding the clothes on hangers, grinning and trying desperately to get camera time.   It's a clown show with wine, yet!

One of my favorite designers was "BOB MACKIE".  I bought a pair of black "SILK PANTS", which I wore to death!  I am sorry I didn't buy several of them!....Who makes silk pants today?  Only for very wealthy people who can afford them!....Also, we had a "beautiful Blond Lady" whose name excapes me who was a "host" at late night shows and left for News Max.  She had class and stunning clothes on her show!  I truly miss "her".  A real "professional"!....I would like to see more of that again!

I loved Katrina’s shows. She showcased higher quality brands that don't see a lot of airtime and trust me when I say I bought from her.
