@nomless yes they are a retailer but they also want to be our "friend" with all of the social media push. QVC needs to have more interesting products and improve their sales techniques.  Believe me, I KNOW they are no longer entertaining to watch.

I watched part of VPH's "new" show last night, other than that, I watched other shopping channels with products that were of more interest to me, along with "entertainment".  Oh even better, I turned the tv off and did something way more fun.

I had to laugh Saturday morning when I turned the tv on and Rachel was the host. The entire hour was a presentation of those lights.  Then as soon as her show ended, SMQ came on and they previewed them again!

I thought they'd be done Saturday and was kind of surprised to turn on the tv yesterday only to see them being presented again.

Does anyone know anyone personally who uses these or see a house lit with these?  I've never seen a house live and for me, they aren't anything I'd want lighting up my house.  I think they are overdone.

@Lipstickdiva ha, yeah, I figured it would be like that.  I think I turned on QVC somewhere Saturday morning, turned it off and went off to do errands and other things. I never watch any of the shows where it is just a hodge podge of whatever Q feels like selling during those 3 or 4 hrs.

No, I've never seen a house with them where I live and I've got people around me who are really into lights.

Yeah....I can relate.  However, I did put the ones I liked on my wish list.  I'm rolling my eyes at the silliness of fake Christmas now but I know I won't feel that way when mid October rolls around....lol   But I just cannot buy Christmas lights when it's 93 outside and I'm wearing a maxi dress and thong sandals.

Re: Enough Bliss lights!

[ Edited ]

We live in a rural area between two major metropolitan areas.  Generally the Christmas lights are the same thing-lights on the front fence and along the drive up to the house which has the front roof edge lined with a string or two.  So we welcome the variety that Bliss lights brings to seasonal light displays.

The lights are interesting especially for lighting landscaping and large water features.  To get the effects shown in the videos and during on-air presentations, more than one or two bliss lights are needed.  In regards to using them to light your home (aiming them directly at the front), I think they (many bliss lights) could be used creatively to enhance aspects of a large home.  However, many people may find having bliss lights beaming into their homes annoying.  If your home is a very large one and the living areas are not on the "bliss" side, then it probably wouldn't be a problem.

We had one of the original bliss lights and kept having issues with the transformer.  We've just received one green and one blue new, moving, bliss lights.  The green is very bright and the movement of the green laser dots in tree canopy is mezmerizing.  The blue light we received is barely visible so it's going back.

Regarding the repetitive QVC programming, I agree that QVC should expand it's product offerings in all areas.  I've been frustrated with endless....Dooney days, Philosophy days, WEN days, Susan Graver days, Kitchenaid days, Vitamix days, but the most irritating is the never-changing two, three or more "food" days each week that promote the same very expensive food items.  Within QVC's "Category" groups there are thousands of products QVC could sell but rarely if ever attempts to sell like crystal for instance.  The reason for this is that most, if not all of the products QVC promotes heavily, are essentially "QVC products".  They may be produced/manufactured under another name but if sales come from QVC, then QVC "ownership" and has more control over pricing which allows QVC to make more profit.
