I would keep trying if I were you.  I bought it for my face and it was a little difficult at first, but now I don't have to use it very often.   I just keep checking in my magnifying mirror on chin, upper lip  and jawline.  No discomfort any more either.  A couple of weeks ago I did on my arms and they look so smooth now.  I noticed a little I missed and went over those and it was like nothing.  (I don't need to use it on underarms or legs at this time in my life.)  Wish I would have bought one earlier.
