EXTENDED DELIVERY IS GETTING OUT OF HAND

I am tired of all the extended deliveries on QVC and HSN.  If it isn't in stock don't advertise it!!! It is also funny,  especially for fashion items, the hosts do not mention extended delivery.  The cooking shows usually will mention it.  This happened on HSN yesterday for most of IMAN'S fashions.  This has been going on way before the COVID issues.  There is no guarantee you will even get the product.  I know they don't charge your cc until it ships but more and more items are on extended delivery.  I am not buying anything unless you have it in stock for immediate delivery.  If you aren't going to be honest with your customer don't advertise it unless you have it in stock.  With people buying more and more on line we have to be able to count on companies having items in stock and being able to deliver them as promised.

Re: EXTENDED DELIVERY IS GETTING OUT OF HAND

It would appear to me, QVC is selling products on order not in stock yet.  They go on advanced when the order is expected to arrive by a certain date and backorder when they don't arrive at the fulfullment centers when promised.

Yes, they should wait until all orders are stocked, but evidently manufacturing and shipping delays are the problem.

This isn't only happening at the Q, several retailers I've purchased items from this month are having the same issues. That's why I'm buying gifts early this year

And many times in stock is not the issue.  The issue is short staffed warehouses that must abide by Covid rules.  Less people are allowed to be working near each other and MORE online orders are taking place.

There is NO clothing item I am in a hurry for.  I am still working but have plenty of clothes.  Other than work, there is nowhere to go so what's the rush.

I have already finished and received all my Christmas gifts.  Knowing Covid would be an issue, I was done in October.

I also completed all my holiday shopping and orders in advance.  I certainly realize we have to adjust our expectations for normal delivery times, due to the pandemic affecting staff around the world.  Additionally, there are many substitute and part-time workers that may not have the same level of quality processing.

There is nothing I need so badly that I cannot wait.

Complaining will not change the situation.  Check back in a year after everyone has a vaccination and see if there is delivery improvement.

Re: EXTENDED DELIVERY IS GETTING OUT OF HAND

This was happening way before COVID problem.  That is the point I am trying to make about extended delivery.  Thank you
