Dumb question about return label

I've been here since 1996 so you think I would know this by now.  I always put the return label over QVC's shipping label.  There is always a second bar code still visible from the original label.  Do I let this stay, or obliterate it with a Sharpie?

@depglass

Please obliterate with a sharpie all other bar codes.

I have a big, fat, wide black magic marker I got at Walmart that's perfect for this purpose.

If using a bag just turn the bag inside out.

I just turn the bag inside out and then put the label on. Perfect

@depglass - You could also just put the new label over the old one upside down.  Smiley Happy

Lately, I've been lining up the new label to the old label from the bottom first. It covers all the old tracking bars.

I worked in a post office.  Always cover the old bar code, use a marker, brown tape, paper, something.  Never let it show.   The post office might accidentally scan that code instead of the correct one.  They don't have time to stop and look to see if it's the correct one.
