Is it possible that the law was just changed in your state and it now requires taxes on S&H? I know where I live, our tax laws changed on October 1, and a lot of things that weren't previously taxable now are.

@hari.  Unless your state just recently passed a law, it has always been there.  You pay for the convenience of shopping online.  On the other hand, it's cheaper than gas.
